Both products were purchased from Blowout Cards.

Oval Office Break (box #263) - Barack Obama/George W. Bush 2/5


Horrors of War Master Case Break - Box #1

Civil War - Chauncey McKeever - Union Brevet Brigadier General. Captain in the Union Army w/ Army of the Potomac in Washington D.C. Assigned to General Staff, he rose to the rank of Colonel, Assistant Adjutant-General of the Army.
WWI - James Marshall Cornwall - Lt General. British Army officer and linguist WWI & WWII.
Korean War - Frank Nash
Vietnam - James Allen Taylor
WWII - Aeneas Ranald MacDonnell (WWII British Ace. Credited with having 10 war time victories), Ben King (339th Fighter Squadron WWII Ace with 7 victories (1943-1944) Brigadier general in 1966.), Hans Uhde (German Army, Oberleutnant of the Reserves. Leader of the 11./Grenadier-Regiment 424.), Jack Ilfrey (Eight-victory WWII Fighter Ace. 94th Fighter Squadron, first group of American aircraft to fly from the USA to England), Jim Hill (Black Sheep Squadron, flew a total of 70 combat missions. 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 12 Air Medals), Sanford K. Moats (American Air Force lieutenant general and fighter ace. Vice commander of Tactical Air Command, headquarters at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. Responsible for maintaining peak combat efficiency in the tactical fighter and reconnaissance operations, and training air and ground crews as required for U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Pacific Air Forces)


I will be pretty busy the next few weeks so I MAY only get to do one mini case per week. Hopefully there are some bigger hits hiding away.

I will not be breaking up the base card set. However, I have doubles of base cards numbers 9, 12, & 34.

Vietnam - Robert L. Stewart (Retired Brigadier General of the United States Army and former NASA astronaut.)

WWII - Eugene "Gene" Derricotte (University of Michigan Football Star/Tuskegee Airmen), Edward Giller (Assistant general manager for military application, Atomic Energy Commission), Ian Edward Fraser (Royal Navy (Victoria Cross) successful attack on Japanese Cruiser), L. Peter Wren (Boat officer on USS Bassett, April 1945. Pulled survivors from the sea from the USS Indianapolis July 30, 1945), Lyle Umenhoffer (USS Indianapolis Survivor. 316 survived the worst disaster in US Naval history), Melvin Biddle (Battle of the Bulge (Medal of Honor, Bronze Star, Purple Heart), Sir Wallace Kyle (Air Chief Marshall - senior Royal Air Force commander and the Governor of Western Australia from 1975 to 1980)

Horrors of War Master Case Break - Box #4

Civil War - John Bell Hood (Confederate general. Arguably one of the best brigade and division commanders in the Confederate States Army. Known for his aggressive and bold actions early in the war, including success in the Peninsula Campaign, the Second Battle of Bull Run (Manassas) and Antietam. Severely wounded at Gettysburg and Chickamauga. Hood became increasingly ineffective as he was promoted to lead larger, independent commands late in the war)

Korean War - Harry D. Train II (Retired Admiral in U.S. Navy & a Senior Fellow at the Joint Advanced Warfighting School at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia.), Sterling Cale Hospital pharmacist's mate (Corpsman) U.S. Naval Hospital at "C" Landing, Pearl Harbor. Finished a shift on December 7, 1941 right before the bombing. Later, PhM2c Cale was in charge of the burial party removing bodies from the USS Arizona)


WWII - Chester Nimitz (5-star admiral US Navy. Held dual command of Commander in Chief, United States Pacific Fleet, U.S. naval forces & Commander in Chief, Pacific Ocean Areas, for U.S. & Alied air, land, & sea forces during World War II.), Clyde East (WWII Flying Ace), Duke Snider (Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Fame 1980), Bud Anderson (USAF triple-ace), Forrest Guth (Original member of the famous Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment - 101st Airborn. D-Day, Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, Operation Market Garden Holland), Gunther Bierbrauer (German Luftwaffe), Robert DeHaven (WWII Ace downed 14 enemy planes in the Pacific).

What does it say about the James Taylor? That's my grandpa's name, but he was in WWII.

Box four was really good...my favorite is actually the Forrest Guth

VErY nice John Bell Hood... Love it even though he was insane... As a Civil War historian I don't know that I can forgive him for sending what was left of his lambs to slaughter at Franklin.

Whoah... Just noticed something... Need to contact Dr Price to see where this Hood auto came from... Need to find out which corporal watkins is in reference in the document. Personal note and placemark haha

I know of several that were in Hoods armies of tennessee out of hundreds... But 1 in particular would be fascinating to find

I was trying to decipher the entire cut but I'm having trouble. I see now that it clearly says "Corpl Watkins." What else can you make out of the cut. This is all very cool, let me know if you find anything out. I appreciate it.
