First case arrived today, wasted no time in breaking it down. Nothing of note aside from the sketches, which were are below. Started out kind of ehhh ... with the first two I opened:
Katie Glasheen ![]() Cory Hamscher ![]() Not terrible, but I wasn't exactly getting the warm tinglies after my first two boxes. Then I got these: Erik Maell ![]() Kyle Babbitt ![]() I like 3 and 4 better, but while 50% color and halfway through case, I'm not super thrilled, and starting to think maybe I should have just dropped $500 on scratch tickets. Next two turned around my case: Scott Rorie ![]() Tim Proctor sketchagraph signed by Ben Burtt ![]() I felt a LOT better now, so I went to my last two and they were pretty good: Ben Dale ![]() Lee Bradley 1 of 2 Puzzle, or just a half-face profile? No notation anywhere on the card. ![]() All in all not a bad first case, hoping for the same or better luck when the other case arrives, and would obviously like some other nice find like a printing plate but not holding my breath! |

Very cool sketches. The Rancor and Count Dooku are tops. Good pulls! How much did the cases set you back, if you don't mind my asking?

This is one of those posts where I'm going to sit with my finger on the post button wondering if I should hit send, mostly because I am sure that inevitably someone will tell me I could have found it cheaper somewhere else.
Worked out to just under $78 a box all in with shipping for the two cases. An expensive gamble for sure, but also kind of fun. Kind of a sickness too I suppose, haha. |

It helps that the set is always so nice with these, though. Set building complements the hits and eases the pain slightly if you come up empty-handed.

I have broke a lot over last 3 years ...
Product was pretty bad this year... IMO I would not pay 50 dollars for boxes... its rough... They need to go to 2 sketches a box and printing plate per case

If people know that they are getting 2 Sketches and a Printing plate - secondary market goes to $100+ out the gate. However, for you an me, that's fantastic! ![]() Hopefully everyone who got their asses handed to them this year from G7, decides to sit out on G8.
