2012 Leaf Oval Office -- Dual AUTO, HIT OF A LIFETIME

Before I share ... I just want to say I do not condone or support ANYTHING this man has ever done. He may be one of the most famous people world wide, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons...

Anyways, I've been wrestling with myself for a while with this product and finally gave in and did one (after having an odd dream about past presidents last night) I will let the pictures do the talking...I was stoked to see it was a 1/1 and just to have the front auto was enough for me. I was really looking for Thomas Jefferson since I live in Charlottesville and have been to Monticello a million times.

Not exactly sure how much its worth or how I am going to unload it quite yet...I guess that will come soon...thanks for the look!

I dont think you should feel bad - its an unbelievable card of two unbelievable men, one good and one bad obviously.

Hitler very well could be the most famous and studied historical figure in history. Maybe after Washington or Napolean. Just the sheer number of social psychology concepts that have stemmed from the Holocaust make this card incredible.

Im Jewish, so obviously Hitler is no good in my books, lol (and Im sure in millions of others). But from a historical standpoint, and even a leadership standpoint, Hitler is one of those guys that can't be ignored and forgotten.

Id keep it, but no doubt I can understand why you wouldn't. Id say given the fact that you have FDR on there as well, this card is probably worth 10,000. The Jefferson/Washington sold for 16000 a couple years ago. I think 10000 would be a reasonable offer.

I made a joke about how strange I'd feel if I hit this card last week, oddly enough. "YES! HITLER!" I'd scream, and all of my neighbors would think such awful things about me with that quote out of context. ;)

Don't feel bad about it; it really is the hit of a lifetime. I would probably sell it because I need the money (lost both of my jobs on the same day), but if I were financially stable and $10-15k meant a lot but not A LOT, I would hold onto it. How often are you going to have both of those signatures so close to one another?

amazing hit, congrats. even though hitler was horrible. just to have that card in my hands would be a amazing feeling. very nice man.

starwars808 04-25-2012 08:09 PM

amazing card, congrats!

Bum Dawg 04-25-2012 08:19 PM

Wow, there is a card that is worth a chunk of change! Did you get that box from Blowout or some place else?

FreeMan12406 04-25-2012 11:20 PM

See the word famous getting thrown around a lot....as my wife just pointed out, I think the word here to use is infamous.

She's always right anyways so just agree guys.

theautographkid 04-25-2012 11:42 PM

This is a very historical card. Very interesting

Whodey14 04-25-2012 11:46 PM

That is amazing. I do not condone anything to do with Hitler, Nazism or racism but I have bought and sold Nazi memorabilia just because like anything it is collectible. However I will say that it is beyond weird to hold an original Nazi flag. Sends chills down my body.

I think that this was the second best dual-cut you could pull from Oval Office. It's a shame that they spelled "Adolph" incorrectly on the rear of the card. An unfortunate inconsistency, considering they spelled it correctly "Adolf" on the front name plaque. Obviously, it's still an incredible pull and you shouldn't feel bad about owning a card like this. Unless I absolutely NEEDED the money, I would probably keep this card. He was a terrible man, of course, but it has great historical significance and you're not going to find anything else like this anywhere.

Whodey14 04-26-2012 12:31 AM

69 *giggle*

Butchhig 04-26-2012 01:15 AM

Ridiculous pull. PM me if selling.

ajscards101 04-26-2012 08:53 AM

If I got this, I'd ebay in a sec

jayjay0122 04-26-2012 09:38 AM

Incredible pull...I think this will go for a ton because the Hitler is a perfect cut auto. I have no idea how rare his autos are, but I assume there's not a lot of them out there that look like that. I find it creepy just looking at the photo then looking at the cut and realizing that's his actual autograph. Good luck with the sale if you decide to sell it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

mthokie83 04-26-2012 09:38 AM

Congrats on what I think is a great pull. I think it is unfortunate in today's PC society that you have to preface your great hit with talk about how you don't condone the man or his actions. You have a piece of historical significance and by owning it you are not doing anything wrong (unless it is going in to your own Aryan PC).

Congrats again!

hofmichael 04-26-2012 10:51 AM

Congrats on a monster hit.No one who owns the card or pulls the card should feel bad.Owning the card does not make you a Nazi or Nazi supporter.Appreciate the history of the card because that is why it was made.

CaptainBOHICA 04-26-2012 11:19 AM

I think they got the card wrong. Its charlie chaplain, not adolf hitler.

lemur01 04-26-2012 11:24 AM
If I got this, I'd ebay in a sec
And ebay would end the listing in a second.

Mike13198 04-26-2012 11:25 AM

How muc would this go for anyone thinks?

Whodey14 04-26-2012 11:26 AM

Id say it has a shot at breaking 5 figures.

Mike13198 04-26-2012 11:28 AM

Thanks, wow awesome card

chipmaster 04-26-2012 12:04 PM

Nice Charlie Chaplin!

ajscards101 04-26-2012 12:09 PM

Its been on ebay for the past hours or so. 25K BIN with BO. I'd say it gos for $12K or so

mwheeler27 04-26-2012 12:15 PM

I'll guess it goes for between $8,000 to $10,000, and I doubt you'll be able to sell it on ebay as I can't see the auction lasting very long, unfortunately.

jayjay0122 04-26-2012 12:53 PM

I just noticed on the BGS tab his name is spelled "Adolf". On the card it's spelled "Adolph". Did Leaf really just spell his name wrong?
