also if you haven't noticed sketch cards of the same artists from the same set generally go for about the same price go check ebay completed listings (popular characters generally going for a little more) Last edited by rip+flip; 06-05-2012 at 03:45 PM. |

you did pretty well overall should about make your money back (maybe even make a few dollars) if you choose to sell all of them.
i bought 2 more cases yesterday I have had only 1 amazing case out of 6 the rest have been average i guess Last edited by rip+flip; 06-05-2012 at 06:24 PM. |

I know it is Chris Henderson because I collect mostly Star Wars sketch cards. I follow it as a hobbist/collector and therefore can recognize the different artists by their work. This is not about money to me. It is about Star Wars art.

I am not trying to insult anyone, I am trying to learn the artists and their signatures.
Sometimes I sell the sketches to further fund my addiction and keep the wife happy. I learn from asking and dont want offend anyone, I just get a little excited when i pull a beautiful sketch. |

If you like the card then it is good. If you do not like the card then it is no good.
If you are not into Star Wars and you are not into art then what is the point of doing this? Sketch card pulling is a gamble. It is not something you can invest in. The value of a card is whatever the flavor of the day is. If you make it about money you will get burned. |

Check out:
SketchCollectors.com: Everything Sketch Cards You can look up the artists by name and then compare the art. If the artist signed on the front of the card you can compare the signatures. |

I personally collect very few artists and very few sketch cards generally I collect the short printed sketches from a particular set or the artists that only did a few sketch cards for the set. For this set I am mainly looking for a katie cook though and have yet to pull one in 6 cases and I probably never will but I can hope right

WOW man calm down
Nobody said it was about money, its about selling off some card to keep your hobby alive until you hit a monster for your PC. I dont make it about investing I make it about learning the artist and appreicating his work. I do my research very well and ask a lot of questions to some very smart people on this board ,who have been doing this a lot longer then me. I have spent 28 years flying helos in the military, so I never gamble, I always put the odds in my favor....if I can. Quote:
