I got it, but it was a royal "you" since you were referring to lots of people.

WHAT ADVANTAGE are you talking about? LOL.

dictionary.com:

to take advantage of: mislead; be dishonest
Answer this one question, would they raise the price if noone bought any cases? And why are you keep saying they are forcing people to buy boxes? I have said nothing like that. There was a spike in demand in the past couple months. Do you know how many they sold? When Jeter hit 3000 hits people took advantage and raised his prices. And many people bought Jeter cards and noone was FORCED to. I liked how you choose that definition. It has more then one meaning.

Advantage: a factor or circumstance of benefit to its possessor

In any business, a smart company will raise their price if there is a spike in demand.

There is no "hype" being put out by Blowout (nor anyone else for that matter), so there is nothing to be "taken advantage" of.

Oh by the way, for those who think it is a bad break at $199, you should have been there at $300+ when it was released...THEN you would have had something to complain about (to Topps, not the supplier).
Exactly, there was a spike in demand and prices were raised.

It is not like we are being selective with your own words. The above statement certainly doesn't make it sound like BO was handling their business according to the normal rules of supply and demand (which they absolutely were). You came off sounding like an asshat and are now scrambling to make yourself sound better.

And I explain what I mean by that. Did not say anything about BO cheating to make me buy something. Take that or leave it, others knew what I was saying.

Meaning every retailer should strive NOT to make a profit since that is to their benefit.

You still haven't explained what BO took advantage of... you know what. Never mind.

And, oh... only one person seemed to 'get what you were saying' and that person happens to also have bought a crappy case.

I told you already. Do you really think, I believe BO was making and forcing people to buy the case. What do you think I meant? Please tell me.

I don't believe Heritage has ever been that low.

I actually just filtered all of my solicitations from BO - and the majority of their discounts for Heritage was either $189.95 or $199.95.

So I'm not sure why everyone think they are jacking up the prices at all. Blowout moved some cold product and now they put it back to normal price.

Correct. That is when this craze started and everyone started to purchase cheap cases and became experts. However, when theses case went on sale - they were normally either $189.95 or $199.95. Now they are sitting back at where they normally were - and BO is taking advantage?

Commented wasn't point directly at you - you just happened to quote me while I was ranting, so I continued.

Please pm me if you want me to explain anything, I do not want these to turn into a negative thread. I just know that BO sold about 30- 40 cases in the last 6-8 weeks or so and the price went up about 45$ in that span. I actually did not know how much they sold because because I just recently got in the Heritage set.

I bought a case at 209.00. Had fun breaking, but it was so crappy I decided not to even post it. I'll still buy more, but not likely at the current price. I also noticed that two cases I received looked like they had been crapped on through a screen door on a hot summer day, and those cases were terrible. The cases I got that were in good shape had some decent pulls and no RW monkey

I did however get 3 Howard Shum sketches. here doesn't seem to be much interest so I think I'll ink and color them for fun and keep them in my PC.
