12 Box Case 2012 Metal Poker - Live

Case #170/199 - only my 9th case of Metal Poker this year, but about 65th case of Leaf Poker this year and my 99th over the past 2 years, call me crazy! Since I'm only doing one case, I'll do box by box.....

Base Auto - Williams, Duhamel, Wasicka
LOP base - Violette
Printing Plate - Jamie Gold Base Magenta

Very weak start....but metal is very hit or miss, much more on the miss side than 2011 Leaf Poker

Base - Chiu, Gold, Esfandiari (the new all time money leader in WSOP, of course winning $18MM in the Big Drop will vault you up a few spots.

Base - Violette

Printing Plate - Phil Hellmuth Bracelet Race Cyan, with left over ink on the plate - I have yet to pull a Bracelet Race card....

Base - Scott Fischman, such a lazy signer, "SF", really is that the best you can do?, Vanessa Rousso, Daniel Negreanu at least he's a SP,

The metal market is much weaker. While there are less cases 199 vs. 249, I think the price point was higher and as such, dealers are not lowering the price. For awhile you could get 2011 Leaf at $400. Now if you can find it it's close to $600. Metal can be had for $500, but at the same price I would buy 2011 vs. 2012 all day long.

The autos are hit and miss on the metal, where as they are always clean on the Leaf base brand.

Good Examples of quality of autographs

Base Men Master, Bellande, (these two just on't jump out at you) Jose Canseco #33 (his pen appears to have been new, very crisp, no "sliding" and he adds #33 to most)

LOP Refractor #13/25 Violette (great auto)

WS $ - Chad Brown #27/30 (poor auto)

I've found the case hit to be in the second layer, bxes 5-8, so let's see if it holds true, usually a 1/1 or a Brunson. I'd prefer a Chan or even a Chan 1/1!

My RED refractor for the case is the Poker Brat - Phil Hellmuth #4/5 with a nice bold signature. He must have used the pen first and Joe Sebok got sloppy seconds

LOP Margolis - rack it! I did not get one of her in my last 5 cases

and surprise, surprise a 1/1 Prismatic Gold Refractor Josh Arieh. Great concept and nice card, but $49.99 will take it all day long!

National Pride - Huckleberry #02/25 - also great to have Old Glory in the background

FOTG - Tom Dwan, only player not in 2011 Leaf Poker, Annie Duke is only player in 2011 Leaf Poker (though they were stickers) that was not in 2012 Metal
