Default 2012 Star Wars Galactic Files Sealed Case Break

Structure of the boxes was kinda odd...had about 15-20 packs that had 15-16 cards, and about the same amount had 9 cards in it. Would have been more of an issue if I just got a box or 2, but it evened out at the end of the case. I was shorted a sketch in a box, but then got 2 sketches in another. Overall, I was shorted a patch though.

Red Parallels #/35 - 12 (Notables C-3PO, Chewbacca 1/35)
Blue Parallels #/350 - 118 A little more than the 1:3 pack odds, random subset blues are added parallels.
Gold Parallel 1/1 - 0

Autos:
Richard LeParmenter as Admiral Motti
Felix Silla as Widdle Warrick
James Earl Jones as Darth Vader
Daniel Logan as Boba Fett
Bonnie Piesse as Beru Whitesun
Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca

Sketch Artists (as far as I can tell):
Ken M. Doyle
Jeremy R. Scott
David Green
Dan Parsons
Sian Man Drake
Luis??
Jerry Fleming
Randy? Martinez
Rest have initials or scribbles, will have to do some research. Here's scans of the sketch cards:

Thanks for the post, not thrilled with the sketches coming out, but you got a few nice ones, hope the Vader sells well for you...or good PC too!

Ouch on the sketches. I would think a sealed case would have a better distribution of decent/good/great sketches than that (I wouldn't call any of those great).

BUT at this price point you are getting in upwards of 100 BLUE parallel cards that are numbered to 350 ($2-$3 each) 12 RED cards numbered to 35 (will settle in the $25$40/ card i.e. main character cards will command I higher price) possibly a GOLD card 1/1 (which will again fluctuate but I would guess $200-$400 depending on character.... oh wait....6 patch cards that are already selling for $25-$40/ card (a little hint although they are not tiered there are several difficult patch/character combos ;-) AND 6 autos that are at the low end $20 to a high end $3500 (my price on a Ford) ANDDDDDDDD 12 sketch cards that can be absolute crap but IF 1 in a Vandersteldt or Hall, or Cook, or Murphy, OR Pence etc etc etc etc You guys are really only focusing on the sketch cards and this set is about everything else. All IMHO

You are correct. There is a lot of things to add up when taking things into consideration. You can win big or lose your ass though.

When it comes to parallels - it's always interesting to see what happens.

not sure how one will lose their a$$ with this product though. I would say the up side is far greater than the down side on any given case. I will stand corrected if someone sells the 100+ blues, 12 reds, 6 patches, 6 autos, and 12 sketch cards and 2 master sets per case for a huge loss .... not going to happen .

A Jones auto just sold for $400 today. I think you did very good personally.

Out of the gate - it will do great. But like everything it will come down. I know a guy who had a good chunk Mars Attacks Gold parallels listed on ebay within 72 hours of release. Got an offer to sell them off ebay. Buyer flaked and never paid, so he put them up again and lost money on each card due to the time lapse from the release.

Unless the manufacture patches end up having some SP ones - they will end up coming down and so will the parallels. If a lot doesn't get broken - then there is a chance the parallels will retain value.

IMO, the parallels will likely hold or gain value as more people try to complete their sets...gold parallels from SW30 (#/30) sent from $80 cards to upwards of $200 before they came back down a bit. Also, with 30 patches, those should retain value as well.

I wasn't breaking for SW30 - so I have no experience there. I guess my fear for Star Wars is the saturation right now.

I hope everyone who break, does well though. I would never wish ill on my fellow junkies.

Iggy hit a Kershner, and Tom hit a Ford. I'll hit 12 shum sketches. lol.

I've really done a 180 on this set in 24 hrs tho. To me, it's about the Auto's/extra's and NOT about the sketches quite honestly.

This is probably true to a large extent, especially for the sketches, but if the market settles down with a very small number of the big autos, then I can see the price going the other way. The Fisher auto is absolutely lovely, a really beautiful image. The Hamill is a very nice card too. I can see these potentially rising in value if the available stock diminishes.
