Default 2013 Famous Fabrics Civil War Box Break

I've always wanted one of these boxes since I love history but didn't wanna spend $1200 when they came out and finally the price was right so I took a chance. Didn't do too bad IMO....here's the breakdown...

Base cards...
Battle of Chancellorsville
Siege of Vicksburg
Battle of Shiloh
And my favorite...Appomattox Treaty

Art Card
Abraham Lincoln! 6/10 beautiful card

And the Cut Signature...

Charles E. Belknap 1/1

Obviously was hoping for the Lincoln cut or a General cut, but I'm happy with the Lincoln art card. Wikipedia says Belknap was a big deal in Michigan and was in Sherman's March to the Sea. Couldn't find many autos of him so not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing lol.

Oh I didn't realize it had already been pulled lol. Glad I didn't pay full price for the box then lol. I saw the U.S. Grant was out pretty quickly but didn't know about the Lincoln. Oh well it was still a fun break!

That's about it. Letters with CW Sigs are a dime a dozen, no offense. But I'm glad someone is saving them! Just wish they wouldn't be cut up for a product. I'm srue the original letter it was attached to contained much more useful information IF written during the war. May be from post war correspondence or pensions etc...I would hold on to it. Not worth much at all but still a great piece of history
Cheers

Thanks for the info! Yeah I kind of figured since they dropped the Lincoln art card in there, that the cut signature wasn't going to be worth a whole lot. I agree kind of a shame to keep cutting up all these historical documents. Like you said still a great piece of history and a good looking signature
