Help Finding Spiderman/Super Hero "Base Cards" (If that's what they are called)

I have a 4 year old son, and I'm trying to get him involved in the hobby. Up to this point he is pretty disinterested as I only collect football. He is a big fan of Superheros....especially Spiderman. I was curious if anyone had some base cards or common cards, or whatever you'd call it that has pictures of Superheros/villans on them available. I don't want to pay big money as I fully expect him to demolish the crap out of them, but I was hoping to find like a 600 ct box or a small flat rate box full of the "worthless" cards. I have never collected one nonsport card in my life, so I have no idea if there even is such a thing as a worthless superhero card ala the late 80s baseball cards. If there are and you'd part with them for cheap, please LMK. I'm hoping it'll help spark his interest in the card industry so I have someone to pass my collection onto

There are definitely low end non-sport cards than can be had very inexpensively. I don't really have what you are looking for, but it's out there, for sure!

If you have a local card or comic shop they can probably help you out pretty easily. . . the shipping costs prevent many people in handling a lot of the low end stuff.

You should be able to find complete sets as low as $5, maybe a bit less. Loose cards even cheaper. . . and damaged cards for practically free. . . Good luck getting your son into the hobby!

I guess I don't know the difference between DC and Marvel. Spiderman is his favorite, but he is into Superman, Batman, hulk, silver surfer (the superhero squad cartoon especially), etc. Pretty much any superhero and their villans.
