Im glad I picked this one up last year. It's beat up and creased, but if he's no longer signing, it's better than nothing.

Loose boxes only, you can view the threads started by me to find them from 2-3 yrs ago (unlike you I only start a thread once every 6 mo's and not once every 6 hrs lol).

At one point I had I think 6x of the Pratt/Glenn Close auto's which were SP. I have 2x left though, i'll dig out what I have at the house (some are in the lock box) and post later tonite/tomorrow.

Personally I'm VERY glad that Zoe will be in a lot of boxes (hopefully), as she's the only one I never got! Was $1000 out of the gate and I never hit her.

From varying places/sites? Or just spaced out timewise so from different cases?

That's some crazy luck there haha.

I have no doubt that Pratt's cards will go up in value, but only a few hundred dollars and that is IF he doesn't sign anymore.

The last RDJ card sold for like $800-$900. There are some on the market available for 1.5 or best offer. Almost 10 years ago RDJ signed cards for Iron Man and yea, they were $250 back then. But they have peaked. They have been at the same price for years. Like Harrison Ford, Ridley's, Emelia Clarke auto's, Hemsworth, and many others, the years have passed on these cards and they have reached there prime selling price. MOST people who want these autographs have them.

If Pratt starts commanding 1K for his GOTG auto's then you will see a ton pop up on eBay. There were a lot out there for that particular set. I don't think this card will ever command more then the RDJ ones which have peaked at 1Kish to the right collector. That's just my two cents on the topic anyways. Speculating that things "may" be thousands of dollars in the future is fun, but it's just speculation. The market has decided what all these autographs are worth and right now Chris Pratt autographs are worth $400-$600, and RDJ is about a grand.
Yeah I keep hearing this similar response over the years and yet the non sports market continues to grow. Speculation in non sports is no different than sports now. The difference being, athletes eventually stop playing.

Actors and actresses keep working and the movies/tv continue to find audiences long after they are over. Plus female collectors are more involved in non sports because everyone watches movies and tv. Many B level non stars even carry a premium because of their looks.

Find me a sports athlete that sells specifically because of looks and not their game. I don't agree with it, but they sell. Key non sports cards will continue to go up despite what the many naysayers keep spouting.

Ask the dude who's been hoarding RDJ's about non sports speculation. Yes the Pratts are available now for 400-600. Now being the key word. Later after Jurrassic World 2 and Infinity Wars, I doubt it.

Yes a high grade RDJ will be 5k at some point soon. Yes I know non sport collectors don't like grades, but it's coming. With all the great printing tech, too many fakes exist and people will want to protect their investment. Just like the sports people.

I look at this era in collectible terms similar to 40-50s baseball. This is the golden age for non sports. Get your 52 Mantle/RDJ or Mays/Pratt now while you can.

Just my two cents.

This surfaced on ebay the other day and without hesitation, I hit the BIN (whatever i wanted at last 1 relic for set purposes) I really didn't care which one as I figured not many more, if ANY more will come available since the odds are rough and only 4 cards per pack

Here is what they look like, I knew a few had asked (think finfangfan said) he wondered if retro meant from the first movie...he may be correct, looks like it may be from Volume 1)

GAMORA

Then today the same seller sent me a email saying he got a few more packs and hit another relic STAR-LORD, So i snagged this one too from him He is located in CANADA btw, so maybe they shipped the relics and autos North of the border?

Just wanted to share what they looked like
Do you have an auction link? I cannot find it.

Well yeah, I knew it was a BIN. I just couldn't find the sold listing under various title searches.

Yes 6. I mentioned this 2-3 yrs ago lol. Those who busted this set will remember that EVERYONE was fixated on Zoe tho not Glenn Close. I personally love UD's dual cards (despite this being sticker). Here are 2 of them, and I'm almost positive I kept a third. I did sell some off a year or two ago. Also, there's my fav Thor Dual card as well. I also like relic auto cards.

One of the Pratt/Close cards ran in auction and ended on a Saturday morning at 6am from fellow boardie/ebay member literarywill lol. I remember thinking that was an awful time for him to sell it. Bought it for about $180-210ish.

By reducing the quantity of sketch cards, we are able to increase the quality of the sketch cards overall, and increase the value to the consumer.

But is it? It can be argued that there are multiple other UD sets with better artist list and sketch quality @ 1/box than Fleer Ultra Spidy. Yes the sketch quality was solid in FU Spiderman, but at what cost.

And I'm not saying that 1/box is a must. But 1/FIVE boxes?! Really? Count me out of another Upper Deck set it seems. Guess for the die hard sketch collectors (with Rittenhouse down and out) are only avenue is eBay sniping (good luck there, lol) or Marvel Premier every other year (?).

Ugh, I was looking forward to this set after sitting out of Fleer Ultra Spiderman too... really, really hope UD at least considers going to 1/TWO boxes (similar to Marvel Beginnings) or even 1/THREE if we must if there really is significant quality improvement.

I don't really collect movie cards, but I really enjoyed GotG2 so I looked into getting a box. Am I getting this right? There's only a single hit per box and you're not even guaranteed an autograph? That is some brutal risk right there for over $100/box! I've played $200 hands of blackjack at the casino before and this set is too rich for my blood. I'm out and sticking to singles.

No.

None of the UD Marvel products guarantee an auto in the box. Not a big deal since there are other things to give value to a box.

Hell, there are sports products where you can get 4 autos in a box and they are all $1 autos

Because the sketch cards fall about 1 in 5 boxes, this doesn't necessarily mean that those 4 remaining boxes will have no content. There will be other items in them that may appeal to other consumers. Some people only collect mem, others only collect autos, there are even people that solely collect the base and respective parallels. We want to make something that can be appealing to a mass audience. Yes, we have products that cater directly to certain demographics like Premier, but even Premier has other content/hits outside of the sketch cards that can command value. I had a few people tell me they had 0 interest in Fleer Ultra Spider-Man because Spider-Man was not their hero of choice and they would have rather seen a "Fleer Ultra Avengers" product. They are not wrong because it is their opinion. Since everyone has varying tastes, we need to have products that can touch on as many tastes as possible.

Yes. In the card section. 8 cards I think $4.98 with Blues, purples #'D /25 and Movie Memorabilia.

I believe all the relic cards poping up are from the walmart retail packs & not the hanes packs as they are all numbered rtr- on the back instead of rt- which is on the hanes checklist.

I picked up 2 packs of 8 cards for $5 each at Walmart last night. Looks like this set will also be different than the hobby set. All cards in pack are numbered RB which looks like it stands for retail base. A lot, but not all of the imagery looks similar to the Hanes set. The blue foils look nice!

Here is a pic to show how the retail base cards look. I really like the look of the blues. A lot of the cards look similar to the Haines set though... except for the border.

Per the Walmart retail pack odds, the movie memorabilia cards are 1:8 packs... so surprisingly not too rare?

So I assume the checklist on Cardboard connection is the final one right?
If so, I am not very happy with it, missing many top people.
Big pass for me now....well probably! Lol

Not as surprising when you remember Civil War's walmart packs last year!

These look nice! Sadly, my WalMart doesn't have any retail packs. They didn't get the Hanes packs either. I picked up a Gamora relic for $13 yesterday on ebay.
