So with a 5 case break, you are looking at closer to 4 base card for each break, with a good shot that one of those will be a parallel.
Last year each box had 1 or 2 #'ed parallels.
Yes many spots will not be worth $25, but that is how most breaks are.
I would say that most people will get $10 to $15 worth of cards, so a small loss, but also having a decent shot at a few nice cards.
With 5 cases, there will probably be 20 or so people that will get a very nice lot of cards.

This didn't last long. I hope it isn't a pattern 4 or 5. I saw it and did a little research and a few minutes later it's gone.

Personally, I really hope it IS a pattern 4 or 5.

Not sure what the pattern is meant to be though ... any ideas?

First sticker auto just popped up for a Boyega
Bummer Topps did that.
Nice looking card but the sticker auto on it for this release just ruins it.
Better of doing a redemption

Just a reminder the soft (sticker) signed cards are: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Jon Boyega, Anthony Daniels, Andy Serkis and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Wonder what will sell better, this or rogue one coming out Friday... Such a diluted auto checklist on tek.. Least rogue one has the going for it a smaller more unique checklist and cards that havnt been printed to death... yet.

This is a nitpick, but I don't like that they used signers that weren't actually associated with the specific representation of the character on the card. Like Sam Witwer signing as Clone Wars Darth Sidious and Dee Bradley Baker signing as an Episode 2 Clone Trooper.

Yes bothers me too! It's just not right to see Dee Bradley Baker as a "physical" (still made with CGI) clone trooper.

Or the Matt Wood voice autos for characters with no dialog? Guavian Enforcers didn't say anything or make a sound even!

For $25 it's worth a gamble, although it could be entirely possible to not get anything.
Pop answered the breakdown part below. As for the actual selection I would prefer to do it as a random where everyone is assigned ahead of time. That is how the break was run last year. If we did it as a draft like most of my breaks it will take a long time to go through 175 spots even if I extend the draft time and shorten the clock.

But lets just say that each box contains an insert as well so that leaves 72 base cards per case. Over 5 cases that's only 360 base cards. Perfect collation would give around 3 of each base card, but we know that there won't be perfect collation.

In addition with this method even if you get a base or two you're still potentially paying out $25 for these. This is for more than 60% of the spots. Seems pretty rough.
The odds of getting nothing are very slim. 5 cases will be 480 total cards. Subtract the 60 hits and estimating 3 inserts per case since they are numbered to 50. That leaves you with 405 base and parallels so approximately a 3.6:1 chance at any one card of the 112 base or parallel.

It's a group break, of course there is a chance you get nothing.
Everyone will get something. Hosts are not allowed to run a break where someone is shut out. Forum rule: - All slots in the break must be awarded a card. No slots may be shut out.

That's the nice thing about this break (and most of the breaks I try and do) it isn't expensive so the risk isn't very high.

Off topic here but I am only missing 3 cards from the entire pattern 5 set from the first tek...Eeth Koth, Captain Phasma, and Rey. I know the phasma is online and I have offered decent money for it but not what he is looking for. I am dumb and missed out on the Rey a few times but I have NEVER seen the Eeth Koth. I have been looking for a year and it has never shown up on Ebay or COMC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry to hijack the thread.

Witwer voiced Palpatine a couple times. I think the biggest offender in this set is the Ruscoe/Bib Fortuna image.

Wow, the blue auto on the blue parallel cards is really hard to see, compared to the base card! I feel like they should've used different pens in that case, but with only a few cards per box, it's not like you'll have a hard time finding the hit haha.

I got my case, but I'm leaving to get some blood work done. Won't get to it until after lunch probably, depending on the wait.

It looks like the sticker auto's are definitely driving the price down for some. There's a John Boyega #/50 auto listed for $239.96.

It's actually a good price if sticker auto's are not a major factor for you.
