Dangit, there's already sellers doing lots on ebay.

I'm only chasing Yoda in this set since it's very expensive to build even a Pattern 1 set.

Also, seems like most sellers so far are doing BIN/BO vs Auctions, so I expect when those end they will either drop in price or become auctions.

Is anyone tracking the 1/1 autos? Luke is one of the big ones pulled on Day 1, and I feel like I may have seen some other black 1/1s, but not sure if of the base cards or autos.

I've seen R2D2 Black and Guavian Enforcer Black sell so far.

Gammorean Guard, Wedge and Oppo Rancisis Black Autos have been pulled, on eBay now. Luke, Taun We and Tasu Leech Blacks (non auto) are also there.

EDIT - Maul Black has just been listed too.

Lol the auctions now are hilarious.

I missed out on the Bastian FA base auto since it sold for $26, but then eBay recommended me to a listing BIN for $9.99 on the same auto hahaha

Then a minute after the base sells for $26, the /50 sold for like $15.

I'm pretty much never paying over $15 for a base auto or minor character auto again after recent sets have killed prices. I just wish I knew Rogue One auto signers for Series 1 and Series 2 and how many will sign for future sets. It's different with new trilogy people since we know Finn and Rey and Kylo are in for at least another movies and probably will keep signing.

Well there are only about 14 of them, so if you want that character or making a set, then you have to pay a pretty penny!
It is good to see some cards selling very well.

It sold for $226.50 ($230 dlvd)

As mentioned... likely that only 12-14 exist. I was buying Rey last year and had a Star Wars Tek Rey search saved and I only saw 4 of them pop up on eBay. One sold right at release for $229.99 via BIN. Another $125 but the seller was in Taiwan so I passed on it. And another for $450 via Best Offer. I saw one available on BO and a graded one popped up on eBay... I'm guessing it was one of the previous that sold... but without serial numbers... it's hard to tell for sure.

I think the estimate last year was that 12 or so existed... and I only saw 4... possibly 5. I'm sure a few were hit by Star Wars collectors and never saw eBay/BO. If you want a popular character pattern 5... best to get it when you see it.... who knows when the next one will pop up.

Anybody happen to know how many of these base SP variations there are? I hit this in my box break and it's SW-75C Starkiller Death Duel.

Just picked up a Pattern 5 Kylo Ren for $85. It seems like some people are giving them away.

Sorry, I meant the expected print run of each of the variations. Is one rarer than the others or only 20 of each or something like that.

Too early to tell.... best guess is that all are limited to the same number. I think the estimate was like 40 of each one last year.

Seems this years set is selling for not even close to last years.

Bummer.

Market just can't absorb all this Star Wars crap.

That is true, but also boxes are like $55 rather than $100. It does suck for some people but great for others.
Just depends what side of the fence you are on I guess.

Anyone opening this who wants to trade? I'm 3 cards shy of pattern 1 set, about 26 shy of pattern 2 and about half of the pattern 3's. I'm also playing around with the idea of doing the blue parallel set cuz they look really cool. So if anyone wants to deal I have lots to trade.

I remember that well. I had some reds I put off selling because I thought the numbers were weak. Then suddenly they shot up big time.

I bought A LOT of Tek last year... but have only bought a few singles this year.

Masterwork really was a turn off for me going into this set. Without on-card auto's, and HIGH odds of pulling very common auto's that I already have from last year or other sets, I just don't see the point. I'd rather just buy the singles I need.

They also didn't feature enough of the Rogue One characters. The last version had most of the key characters from Force Awakens, while they only included Jyn and the Death Trooper in this year's Tek.

Mistakes all around.

Overall, I doubt the enthusiasm for this set will ever pick up, especially now that Rogue One has clearly shown it's a better place to spend one's precious holiday money.
