I'm curious to see how the Plexi-Sketches turn out.

Hopefully better than the Marvel Vibranium metal engravings sketches!

I would have loved if RA had done an annual type set. Kinda over UDs crazy prices and crap hits.

Actually, I think everyone is going to be happy with the price point on this one. Boxes will be about what Rittenhouse boxes go for, not the nearly $100 or more that recent sets have.

I have high hopes for this one.

I really hope so, it sounds interesting and am keen to bust some more marvel, lots of sets coming up for them, this one, the epack exclusive (Captain America 75th Anniversary), Marvel Gems and Doctor strange came out just a week ago, very busy 6 weeks to christmas.

Scares me that manufactured patch cards and die cut plexi cards and print plates count as the hit in some boxes. So I will need to know how many of those fall in a case before I even start thinking about buying any of this. If you get a real hit (sketch or plexi sketch) in just every other box (or worse), the price better be pretty cheap!

Well, MB2 is on "sale" for $110/box (wasn't that $45/box forever?!?) so who knows... I will be surprised if this stuff retails for less than $90/box out of the gates, but I guess I will wait and see. Even at $60 a box, I want a real hit, not a manufactured rare card.

Well looks like this gets released next week prices seem hovering around 55-60.. This might surprise a bit cause I think there were no real pre orders, and having to dig this thread up from November kinda proves that. will be interesting.

This will be a fun ePack release. If it manages to wind up there, it should do better than the Cap and Dr. Strange releases.

It depends on how they release it, but it will probably get a heap of sales just because its not character specific so caters to a wider audience.

I really hope they dont do a "retail" type release on epack like they have with the other sets, wouldnt mind picking up some new stuff but just hate the idea of digital only cards...

So checklist shows sketches being 1:334 which is not even 1 per case.
Will sketches from this product be valued more since they are difficult to get or this doesnt change anything?

I don't think it will do anything to the price of the sketch itself. It all will depend on the three areas that IMOP matter most: subject matter, quality of the sketch, artist.

a bad looking sketch that took 300 packs to get still bad sketch. I could be wrong and I'm certain I will be corrected in this forum if that's the case.

I have no reason to correct you because that was my opinion.

I think the "best" sketches might see a bump, but most wont. Most collectors are buying the artwork.

I really wish I saw the odds of getting a sketch before I pre-ordered three boxes . Live and learn.

I've noticed a downturn of most non-sports releases hitting Ebay on the opening day. Seems like stuff trickles out.

Pretty sure UD just drained people with MM. It's goin to take people years to complete sets of it (that they're collecting)

Not all non-sports collectors collect MM.

Well, I think you will see this at 25 30 a box in a few months unless people really want master sets and such. This truly a product to be found in Walmart target types places. Not saying that's a bad thing. Not every set has to be premium and give them credit making a product for a kid who loves comics can get into this and collect.

Cards are slowly trickling up on eBay. The set looks nice! I am not sure it will do too well until it hits ePack. The set reminds me more of Vibranium and Marvel NOW than MMJusko or Retro. However, if/when it hits ePack, it should sell pretty well. Marvel ePack sets are best served by Marvel Universe-wide releases than character specific. CAP and DS didn't have the supporting cast to draw much interest beyond the narrowest collector base, but this set will do well if it makes the leap over to ePack.

If this set is supposed to be a "2016 Year in Review," and the initial promotional material did say "A new approach from UD Entertainment, 2016 Upper Deck Marvel Annual summarizes the year in comics within the Marvel Universe." ... then why are they recycling 2013 card art

for the "2016" card?

I guess there weren't any images of Hulk in the 2016 comics?
