Default Case Prices.....

Case prices have jumped again (up $25). Pre-orders on BO are now $899.95.

My immediate thought was this might be bad for production as could indicate more printing and needing a bit more filler. Who really knows. At least it's against the second hit tier, but I just assumed second hit is generally something rather average, film cell, medallion etc.

Tell you guys what, when I remember that we could have had TFA costume cards and other relics in products but instead we get medallions and film cels, it really bums me out.

Having them on the SWCT app just ain't the same.

From what I hear, case #'s are huge on this one. Going to reluctantly pass.

Wouldn't surprise me. Why else would you need more cheap filler like film cells? Am more exited by GF reborn in terms of a potential good release.

Shops around me that typically got several cases of past products are either getting 1 case or less.
Also many sites don't even have any for sale. I would say they are holding out, but with current prices, I can't see prices going up much more, so they should sell all that they have.
So far nothing tells me that production is very high for this product.

I tend to agree with this perspective. I really doubt this set is over-produced. We'll know more in time, but I believe the price increase is indicative of a short to moderate run.

BO is about the only online site you can find this product if you have not already preordered it yet.
Obviously most sites will have it once release date is here, however at current prices, sites would be selling this stuff if they had the ability to sell more.
Because they don't it tells me that it is not overproduced. I am not saying it is super limited, but the demand will be higher with this product than any product in some time.
I do like how this is a 200 card set so they won't be a dime a dozen and so easy to put together.

Wait until the 30 day lead time that eBay demands for pre-sell items. These will flood eBay like everything else. You need to pick and choose your sellers carefully, but again, just like everything else bought on eBay.

I wouldn't say there will be a "flood" of cases on Ebay. If a flood happens (if at all), it will be on or close to release date.

There are additional unknown variables that will tip the scales one way or another.

Looking forward to see how this shakes out :-)

Leaving aside the jokes above, we will get inside 30 days on Monday, and have a checklist in 3 weeks. I can't see this getting delayed as releasing it around May 4th celebrations seems spot on.

My gut feel is it will be original cast and characters only for autos, which is a slight shame, but let's see. I don't expect any surprises in the signer list. Would have loved John Williams and some directing / back room staff, but seems very unlikely based on past releases.

Still shocks me they cant get big names to sign from 1-3

Lot of people give those movies a hard time.. But i love them...

Revenge of the sith might be my favorite movie

Love Star wars clone wars... Would love to see autos from that to..

Weird they cant get any of these people...

I thought 1-3 had so much CGI that many actors didn't even work together. They came in, read their parts in front of green screens, etc. I wish I could recall which actor made comments that were akin to 'I was really looking forward to working with Natalie. I asked (George) 'where's Natalie', and he pointed to a picture on the wall.' Maybe I'm off, but the feeling I get from many cast of those movies is that they're just okay with collecting whatever royalty checks come their way and leave it at that. Cast of 4-6 always seemed to look happy together when they were hanging out. Cast of 7 & 8 already seem to be very similar together. Never were 1-3 like that, that I can recall. Very odd.

I agree with cgi. It never looked right.

The effects and visuals seemed like a video game.

But still maul and obi wan are 2 favorites

I loved revenge of sith

Rumors are really starting to fly about obi wan movie

Maybe info on that from celebration

Much bigger sources are talking about if late

Default First Buzz: 2017 Topps Star Wars 40th Anniversary trading cards

Lost Stars is my favorite "new canon" book. Just loved the characters and the story.

Regarding the above posts about prequel signers, I think some people are forgetting the purpose of this set. This isn't really the 40th anniversary of the SW saga, but the 40th of the original Star Wars, A New Hope. I wouldn't expect a single singer to be in this set that was not involved with the first movie. We shouldn't be seeing prequel or sequel signers
