Default Married with Children Custom Autograph Set

A ways back I received word from a couple of friendly collectors about a MWC cast signing that was being done through Official Pix. I normally make custom cards for other collectors to get signed. I've even sent them directly to this company for others before this. I didn't think it would ever be possible to have the cast sign something I made before this opportunity was offered. I'm really not a signed photograph guy which is really all that's available cast wise. The idea of having my own signed set from one of my most favorite shows ever was too much to ignore.

The "Married with Children" cast signing started with Ted McGinley back in April and most recently ended with Amanda Bearse in late December. In between Ed O'Neill, Christina Applegate, David Faustino, and Katey Sagal signings also took place. I decided to go with an older version of the Bundy Family as that's how I remember them best. A really huge factor in making these cards special was the option of having the cards signed with their character names. A big thanks to Chris Wyman at Official Pix for taking this on.

The whole experience gave me a bit more insight as to why collectors go to the lengths they do to add these kind of personal items to their collections. It was eye opening as sometimes I forget about the passion of collecting while getting wrapped with the design and building aspects of my customs. I was in constant torment thinking will Ed sign just "Al" or "Al Bundy" like I wanted? Will the package make it there only to get lost on it's trip back to me? What good is a partial set? There's plenty who will browse this thread and not think much of it, as do I when viewing great items that just don't appeal to me. Then every once in a while I'll see a collectors item that drops my jaw and inspires me. Maybe this will serve as someone else's inspiration.

I plan on making this a continuity collection adding guest appearance characters as I go along. I have a TTM out already to Mr. David Garrison.....fingers crossed! I think he's in France. I also have a few cards I made up already that I plan using my "autograph sticker relocation process" on. I will update this post with those and any new additions. Thanks for the long read if you made it this far.

For anyone interested in MWC stuff here's a link to my personal collection site marriedwithchildrenfan.com - Home

Al Bundy

Peg Bundy

Kelly Bundy

Bud Bundy

Marcy D'Arcy

Jefferson D'Arcy

The backs are all the same with different serial numbers.

For the completist in me I also opted to have these signed.

Marcy Rhoades

Grandmaster "B"

Awesome! I love that you had Bearse write out "Marcy D'Arcy".

As I was looking at the Bud card, I was like, "He should do a Grandmaster B" or any of the variant names he was called by the others in the family, and it seems like that wasn't as original as I thought. ;-)

There could also be a famous co-stars for cameo appearances.
Tim Conway
Matt LeBlanc
Cheech Marin as voice of Buck
Alan Thicke (RIP) but could be a re-housed sticker or cut
Sam Kinison
Dan Castallaneta (Simpsons fame)
Gary Coleman
Chris Hardwick (MTV Singled Out, new emcee of The Wall)
King King Bundy
Giovanni Ribisi
George Plimpton (cut?)
Brian George (Seinfeld' Babu Baht)
Jon Lovitz
Jerry Springer

Hollywood starlets:
Tia Carrere
Traci Lords
Pamela Anderson
Tiffani Amber Thiessen
Milla Jovovich
Vanna White
Tawny Kitaen
Shannon Tweed
Nicole Eggert

Football subset:
James Brown (football announcer)
Roy Firestone
Terry Bradshaw
Howie Long
Joe Namath

Nice start!

What's not to love about this set? Everything about it is out of this world awesome! Pretty sure all of us would kill for that Grandmaster B inscription. Forever a fan of MWC, and of your work in doing customs.

Might I also add that it is sad that I know what episodes some of the cards are from, lol.

Jefferson D'Arcy - Psychic Avengers
Kelly Bundy - Kelly Doesn't Live Here Anymore
Bud Bundy - Sofa So Good
Grandmaster B - If Al Had A Hammer

Thanks so much to everyone! I'm happy to see there's so many fans of the show around here.

Yeah not sure why he wasn't included either. I went ahead and sent him a few cards, maybe he'll sign them.

Most of the No'Maam crew will have to be done through TTM. There's not much around for those actors autograph wise.

Thanks! I have a handful of sticker cards ready to go when I get some time. A few are from your list and few are not depending on if they have a certified sticker auto or not. I would have to change up the design a bit to include cuts, but that would be very cool!

Thanks Ian. Yes there's a total of 3 for each of the main cast, (2) of "Marcy DÁrcy", and (just 1) of "Grandmaster B". I was contacted buy two collectors who also wanted them. It really helped offset the signing cost for me.

I'm not surprised you can name the episode titles!

I loved the show and your set is amazing, the variants are a wonderful addition. The Ed O'Neill is so cool, you selected the best image. I have the Leaf National Al Bundy but I am hoping some day to be able to afford the 2014 Leaf Q Pure Ed O'Neill/Al Bundy Polk High autograph card.
