Default Married with Children Collection Centerpiece

Just a little background on how I came to own this card twice.....well kinda. This beauty was listed on Ebay 2 weeks or so ago. Even though I was notified within an hour of it being listed I had a few Pm's here sent my way about it. I wanted to cut to the chase and offer the seller a fair price to end the auction and purchase the card privately. After a text and call from the seller a price was agreed and payment was sent. Yay!!! I know own a "Grail" card for my Married with Children collection. Please keep in mind there were NO bids up to this point. Shortly after I notice the card is still up for auction and now has 2 bids. Within a few seconds I get a call from the seller, who by the way was a really nice guy through the whole thing. He says he caught some heat for selling card outright and didn't realize the auction had any bids before agreeing. The bids were placed during the 15 minutes it took to finalize the deal and nearly 24 hours after the card was listed. He was super apologetic and returned my payment immediately. I did let him know should the situation change to please keep me in mind.

I decided not to even bid on the auction as it just wasn't mean't to be mine. Hey! there's still a whole 19 of these cards somewhere right? Over a week later the day after the auction ends I get a call from the seller. I was told the winning bidder had a problem sending payment...2 weeks to transfer funds....and decided it would be best for the seller to offer it to someone else and cancel the sale! I don't know who you are, but thanks! The seller offered it for the same price as the first time around which was less than the auction ended for.Needless to say I agreed and it is now in my collection. As for the rarity of these cards I have only come across a total of 4 and photos of them. One is owned by a fellow who recently posted his in one of my threads. I was always aware they existed, just never lucky enough to come across someone willing to sell one.

You're lucky, lol. I sent him/her a message and asked them to name a price. They never got back to me.
There is only one card that I would even think of spending that much money on. The Leaf Q Purple 1/1....my holy grail.

Sweet card my friend.

Thanks Ian. It's the only cast signed card that's not a sticker... so it is unique. I still love my signed custom set above all else.
