Default Favorite Pick-ups: March 2017

Its that time again, here are my favorite pick ups for the month

AND this is something I've had in the works for sometime just never got around to finishing it, probably one of my favorite characters to collect since she came out in Spawn. Done by Emil Cabaltierra and digital colors done by Splash Colors, enjoy.

I usually only do one for these, but March was a very nice month for me.

Pick-up from eBay - Viceroy Cryptids Bigfoot by Charles Hall:

And from the Blowout Sketch Card Draft - PSC by Collette Turner:

Have been working with boardie artist Jason Saldajeno on continuing my "Spider-Man Vs" oversized AP collection. Finished up the last one and mailed the set this month. VERY pleased with the results and he was great to work with.

I think the Rhino is my favorite of the group

Wow! Those are very nice! I think you are going to have fun picking up stuff from this month's Fleer Spidey set!

We will see about that. Not a huge fan of these super premium format products. Really wanted to pre-order a case, but chose not to because of how they released the Jusko set. If they tier the base set, I'm out

I picked up my first Star Wars sketch card in March! A Charles Hall painted one too. Really love the color and details. It looks amazing in person!

Wow I cannot compete with the crazy stuff in here. Spiderfan those are incredible. Jason is really a professional to work with.

I have an AP I can't show yet because the product hasn't been released, but here is another Joker from an artist that I was really glad to add to the collection.

Boatwright

I got a really cool variant wardrobe. I love the stitching on it. I also snagged a couple of cool plates. And a Tom Mison auto which I was super happy about! I also got a few sketches but couldn't pick just one. They are all in my thread anyways lol.

Thanks! I've been waiting awhile for a Joker sketch from him to pop up, love his style.

Here's another big addition that just came in.

McHaley Joker

My collecting has really slowed down. With the lack of Marvel movie products, the only thing I really look forward to is Pop Century. Anyways, I had one small purchase in March, which will directly tie into next month's favorite pickup.

The Stewart on the left, is that like a piece of shirt or something? It looks almost like an empty space.

It's a light blue dress shirt. I think I have one in my closet that's about the same color lol

You know what now that you say that I can make out the blue. Cool piece. First few times I looked at it I couldn't make it out.

March was a super awesome month for me to say the least! Unfortunately I can't show some sweet special projects that got done (some robots in disguise will have to stay in disguise), but I can show what made the theme of the month: Holy Grails!

Starting off with Danny Kuang's original Prince Lotor art that was published in the Voltron United and Drawn 2011 art book. I've been hoping to add this to my wall for years, now it's finally there carefully framed behind museum glass!

Then out of nowhere I find the biggest TF Optimum sketch card that I was still looking for while doing some random online browsing. I'm after any Desbois TF Optimum sketch that I can find, but this specific one is the one I REALLY wanted to find to compliment my other Optimus Desbois sketch. Had to give the previous owner an offer they couldn't refuse, but considering how much I've busted trying to find it, so worth it!

What can beat finding a cream of the crop set sketch that you had been after for years? Well, you can't beat when the best in the biz gets your commission completed on the last day of the month! What a crazy delivery experience that only Nar! can deliver! Seeing in person his mind blowing full detailed, full acrylic colored cards of the past few years is unmatched in my opinion. Then he applies that same hunger for detail to the packaging which is a pure bonus that he does just because he's Nar! He's always looking for the next detail within the detail, and even when he's delivering the most detail, he still keeps pushing his own boundaries, that's why I think he's at the top of the game. So yea, will be tough to beat March, haha.

And I thought getting a sketch on the envelope was cool. That NAR! packaging is beautifully excessive!

I almost like the packaging more than the card. It's just so over the top that it's awesome by itself.
