Default Topps Redemption help

So I sent in a walking dead redemption for the daryl auto card straight after I pulled it at end October/ start November.
Still haven't received so I went into my account to check progress. It now says as status "substitute requested." I did not request a substitute, as I want the Daryl card. Does this mean I now have to accept a substitute? I emailed Topps a few weeks ago but they haven't gotten back to me.
Also is it normal to have to wait 6 months to receive a redemption from Topps?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated as I'm not sure what to do next to receive my card.

Best to call them. Tweeting might get your a response as well. Possibly they've gotten confirmation card wont be made (given up on the actor signing)

Call them immediately Monday morning.

Speak to someone and try to determine better what is going on and state your case.

Since OP is from Australia, that makes calling a little harder. I would definitely try contacting their twitter account first, seems like they are more likely to respond there rather than by e-mail.

If you don't reach out to them asap, you will almost definitely get shafted. I quit Topps completely after my redemption for a NS signer from a mixed set was "substituted" and I got a freaking Dwight Gooden autograph - a guy who wasn't even represented in the set the redemption came from.

"Request Sub" next to your redemption simply means you have that "option" if you want. I have that next to a few of my redemptions. It means you have surpassed normal wait times for that autograph and you can continue waiting or request a sub. This is what I was told anyways..you are not forced to sub anything. You can wait for Reedus to sign if you want...who knows how long that will tk..

No way I can call as in Australia and I don't have twitter.
They must have the cards in hand as people have them listed on ebay.
Might try sending through another email.
How hard is it to just send out a card though? You insert the amount of redemptions you have cards, it's not rocket science!

Every time I tweeted them about outstanding redemptions I was told that only customer services can help with redemptions.

After a few attempts at emailing customer services (still waiting for replies) I called from London, It took the best part of 30 minutes in the queue to speak to someone only to be told that they had no information. Useless

That may be a recent policy, because I was never given the option of a substitution. They just did it.

You can call using Skype. It's toll free so you shouldn't need to top up credit on your Skype account.

It took 4 months for Topps to process my Adam driver redemption from Masterwork. I redeemed the code in first week of December and received the card last week

Isn't that a live redemption?
