It's NOT "Base Set Comic Variants 1:240.
It's "Top 10: Heroes, Villains, Issues, Fights and Story Arcs - each fall 1:20."

Sorry for the bad news

However the glebe brothers sketch achievement is pretty cool. At least that achievement will carry some serious value.
In order to achieve the Glebe sketch, one would need at least 16.73 cases (40,000+ cards) or roughly $11,500!

Not sure if COMC also charges $0.25 per card (like they did with 2016 Marvel Masterpieces) to transfer from ePack to COMC and ship. If this is the case, add another $10,000 for 40,000 cards!

I transferred a ton of MM16 and wasn't charged anything to transfer.

"Transferring" is free, but to "ship" from COMC to your home, COMC automatically adds $0.25 to each card.

There are 2 differences:

1. Cards that you bought from other COMC sellers, when requesting to ship it, you will not get charged $0.25 per card, because the price you paid for the card already includes that $0.25. For example, if you buy a card for $1.00 from a COMC seller, that seller actually receives only $0.75.
2. Cards that you transfer from ePack to your COMC account, when requesting to ship it, you will get charged $0.25 per card.

yup, that's what happened to me! I transferred 243 MM16 cards (81 base/gold/ what if) and requested for shipping... $60.75 got added to my shipping cost! ... I should have traded all my cards, and just get them through eBay for $5-$10 shipping cost...

#1 isn't exactly true. I have advanced reseller mode on, so I do have to pay $.25/card when I get them shipped.

Gotcha though on the shipping. It sucks, but I get it.

It's a fun set, and seems to be doing decently enough to make trading go pretty smoothly. A lot of these epack sets get hot for like a week or so and then it is almost impossible to trade. As of right now, there are about as many Marvel Annual cards open on the ePack site as there are Dinosaurs cards. And MA has only been available about 30 hours vs. almost a month for dinos. I think the $2.99 per pack price point really helped this set.

Here is what the gold foils look like. These are the ePack exclusive physical variants you get by combining 10 non-physical base:

THROG: FROG OF THUNDER

Then you combine 10 golds to make a red foil (which I haven't done yet). The catch is that you have to give up(!) the 10 golds when you combine them to make a red. Talking to the hockey guys, frequently you end up worse off (at least as far as total dollar value) when you combine (aka sacrifice) 10 tier 2 cards to make a tier 3 card.

That's pretty neat. Is there a tier 4 to trade up to?

No, they stop at red. The SP base (cards 101-150) also have the 3 tiers, but will be nearly impossible to get a 100 copies of any of those cards to make a red since they only fall one to every 3 packs. So a Deadpool red, if anyone makes it will be extremely rare. At some point you'd also have to weigh sacrificing 10 golds to make that red too.

I'm having fun making some red foils (the variant you get by cashing in 100 regular base).

Still looking to red foil 2 other base characters (Gwenpool and Fantomex), but it looks like it will be impossible to red foil the Rocket Raccoon SP. Still a fun set.

I am having a hard time accessing the site this morning. The website only partially loads for me and I can't log in. Is this happening to anyone else?

So, how rare are the printing plates? I look at them in the odds for inserts but am I missing something because I don't see them? I got one and it's magenta. What other types are there? Where does magenta rank in the cool factor?

Personal preference plays into that significantly, but to me it typically goes Cyan>Magenta>Black>Yellow. Of course the card could completely change that. For example, yellow C-3PO plates are awesome. In Aliens, the blacks generally looked the best for obvious reasons.

In the end I'm happy as long as the plate is clear and legible. Congrats on hitting the plate, I hope someone can shed light on the rarity for you.

Thanks, you've helped a bit. So, in the set there are 4 types of plates for each card. Gold/yellow, Magenta, Black, and cyan but there is only 1 of each.

That's pretty cool. I suppose I am more pleased with Magenta than yellow or cyan, but black for Thanos would have been the best.

This is my first plate ever so I am pretty excited about that.

Plates can be awesome since you know that you hold a piece of what made the thousands upon thousands of others. Your magenta Thanos looks awesome, be happy with it. The really fun (and frustrating!) part is trying to track down the other 3 if you want to get the full set. I've only completely a few, but have numerous where I have 3 of the 4. I like to think they'll show up one day, but more than likely they're in a collector's drawer somewhere and I'll never see them.
