Default Star Trek

My local antique store has a box of star trek cards for $5. Could they be worth any money? What should I look for?

PS, I know NOTHING about star trek!

Yes, they could.

Look for condition -- if they appear to be NM+ then there might be something there.

Any idea the age or brand? If it's original series and they appear to be pre-80s -- I might bite if I were you

They all looked in alright condition, didn't look to closely because I had no idea what to look for. Based on the images/design on them I would guess they are old, but not 80's old. Maybe 90's? I would guess it was about 150-200 cards.

Anything later that 80s is not worth your time.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks. I read somewhere that the 25th anniversary cards could be worth something.

If they're just common cards, then the older the better.

You might be able to make your $5 investment back. Unless you're a Star Trek fan, skip it.

I just found a bunch of those in a box in my basement yesterday. I'm gonna ebay them for .99 and 5.00 shipping in a flat rate Priority box. I'll let ya know how it goes.

they have tons of that stuff on ebay (brand new in the boxes), all for $5. For some reason they just arent worth anything.
newer series are worth alot (in the box) because they have autographs or costume cards in them.
