After the dreck I've seen from MM2 (thank god I passed on it except for a few boxes after the price dropped) MM3 is looking much better. There's some really good cards being posted and some artists went all out and made every one of their cards MASTERPIECES.
Here are some of Danny Kuang's sketches from MM3, all of his cards are of this quality. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a few sketches from Sanna U. She has a very Anime style, which I happen to be fond of. All of her cards are of the same quality as these. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Incarnadine : 10-01-2008 at 11:44 PM. |

Here's a few more artists. Pretty much every card by these artists is better than 99% of the stuff I've seen from MM2.
Mosanto (pic is small but shows all 200 of his sketches) ![]() Butch Mapa- Again, all his cards are of this quality, although he also did a very small number that are fully colored too. ![]() Kathryn Layno Lewis- Pretty much all pencil sketches but of good quality: ![]() Chuck Bear- More pencil sketches. There's nothing wrong with pencil sketches as long as it's clear the artist put some effort into them. ![]() Remy Mokhtar ![]() While I still see a lot of "weak" sketches in this set I'm seeing more good sketches than MM2. The print run would be nice to know, UD loses their Marvel license on Dec. 31 (which is why they cranked out 3 sets so fast), the set might end up being watered down if they let the presses run. |
