America at War: D-Day/Band of Brothers Ultimate Edition - iCardz

• Complete set of America at War: D-Day (143 cards).
• Complete set of Band of Brothers (49 cards).
• Deluxe metal binder.
• Two instant win cards (chance to win authentic medals and shoulder flashes from the Second World War)
• All 7 authentic Band of Brothers autographs
• An original sketch by Ingrid Hardy
• Certificate of Authenticity
• Numbered /100

At what breaks down to $50 a piece for the autographs and sketch, this is a steal.

The sketches are seldom seen on the secondary market and sell for $80+ each. Some of the autographs are very hard to find and I can not set a price on the Amos "Buck" Taylor since it has never shown up on the market (In fact, I know of only two people who own one of these cards).

iCardz has done something really special with this series that honors the Greatest Generation, and specifically, the Band of Brothers. Now, they have created this edition so that collectors can enjoy the complete set for a great price.

This set is available for pre-order NOW from lestweforgetcardsus.com

This is a fantastic opportunity to own the complete set and I am of the mind that the more we support iCardz with this series, the more likely they will release The Pacific, and more.

Disclaimer: I do not work for iCardz although my enthusiasm for this series may make it sound like I do.
Regarding this series, please ask questions and I will try my best to answer.

Awesome, good deal guys. I hope they sell out of this and get cracking on The Pacific. I am intrigued to know what the lenticular cards will be!

Sounds cool....anyone interested in a signed helmet by "Wild Bill", I have one FS?

Nicnac 03-28-2011 11:56 AM

A couple of thumbnails of 2 sketches in this set. Nice to see there will be major characters from the Band of Brothers such as Carwood Lipton. I believe there is a Shifty Powers sketch in there as well.

Once again, gorgeous art by Ingrid Hardy.

c'mon... it's worth it. You know you must get a set. ;)

BTW, they are selling these on ebay if you want to use your bucks, get some bucks, or get your ebates discount or use your paypal coupons, etc.

iCardz has just posted a promo/preview video of this set here.

John91C 04-05-2011 11:20 AM

Can't wait to get my set! They told me it will take about 1-2 weeks of shipping time to get here in the US.

WhacksPacks 04-09-2011 02:39 PM

REALLY want to pull the trigger on this set (no pun intended,,,well kind of)..what does the 399.99 canadian plus international shipping work out to in Americano dollars? How many set are left...

Wish they'd do a Civil War set to mark the sesquicentennial that begins this week

Will prob pick one of these up

Works out to about $430. Think about it this way. For the 7 autographs and 1 sketch alone, that's $53 a piece which is a steal for some of them (Buck Taylor has never been sold on ebay, Buck Compton, Bill Guarnere). The sketches too sell for at least $80 on the rare occasion one shows up on feebay. Plus, you get the 2 base sets, and instant win cards. Can't imagine what it would be like to win an authentic WW2 medal or shoulder flash...

I have a lot of stuff in my collection (Star Trek, LOTR, Indiana Jones, Star Wars), but the set I take down to show to people with pride is this one. People might not understand any of the other trading cards and why I spent real money on them, but they understand this. I have shown the autos to people who are like 'meh' but when they realize what they actually are, you can see this look of disbelief cross their faces...

As I tell others on the fence, remember these guys jumped on D-Day and fought their way into Germany. Compare that to the achievements of an actor whose autograph you would pay a lot more for.

As to a Civil War set, it's not really in their interest. They focus mainly on WW1 and WW2, the next planned set being WW2: The Pacific.

grayrob8178 04-10-2011 09:38 AM

This looks really cool. D-Day has always fascinated me. To this day I cannot comprehend the feelings those men must have had as they started that mission.

I am going to put some serious thought into buying this set.

Nicnac 04-10-2011 05:54 PM

A collector received his set already (lucky dog being in Canada where iCardz is based!) and got this sketch:

Awesome! I have looked up Cpl. Eaton quickly but found, so far, only the photo that the sketch is based on. I will dig around my usual sources and see if I can find more.

My set arrived today and I pulled the Forrest Guth sketch :D

I love the binder though I wonder how quickly it's going to get all scratched up. Thinking about it though, that might make it look more military used ;)

Nothing on the instant win cards of course, or you would have heard about it ... I think that makes it 0/26 for me

Speaking of the instant win cards. I noticed on the ones I went through that there are 3 different groupings of letter in the beginning of the codes: USA, LWF, and VET. Has anyone seen a different lettering?
