2007 Razor Poker Thoughts/Damage Report

ok. my rip is done (1 case). 7 duals. no cuts, no quads. one gu/auto. collation sucks. 6 phil gordons in the case! a couple of the boxes had all single autos (nice hand seeding, josh you shmuck)... hell even some of the boxes had 2x of the same single auto.

late last night i pegged todd brunson as a SP based on the 400 or so ebay listings... at the time there was only 2 online, and one with green ink variation.. so i figured, ok. todd brunson is PROBABLY a sp, right?

well i open my case - BAM. 3 of them LOL... so i dont know if its an sp or not.

so based on the rips so far i've pegged Laak, esfandiari, elizabeth as the ultra SPS. i think hellmuth and negraneu might be regular sps.

whatever. lol. i kept a couple of the autos for myself... hachem (got 3 of him) and phil gordon... and threw everything else up on ebay.

as i type this there are close to 500 ebay listings. probably should have held onto it until a cut was pulled, but oh well, hindsight is 20/20. hopefully i can move most of them

you guys can check my ebay link to see the damage. right now im a little bit indifferent to it. not too pleased, but not too sad over it. dont know why. whatever. if they don't sell on ebay, ill take them to the poker forums...

This is starting to not look so good, but I'll still break one of my cases and post the outcome once it arrives. I didn't do overnight shipping, so not sure when it will get here. Looks as if there's no hurry though.

yeah i probably could have saved myself almost 100 bucks in shipping fees. oh well. hope your break goes better. hell. hope the group break goes better

Sorry to hear about the bad case. I hope you call Josh tomorrow and let him know that it looks like UD wasn't as bad at hand seeding as they were. If my cases turn out like the majority of cases busted believe me I will be calling him and tell him what I think about how he said they will be hand seeding the cases much better than UD.

well, most of my auctions have ended or are going to end pretty soon.. honestly i dont know if i will even crack $400... ill need to get lucky with the group break lol

Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

What would you recommend to all of us that haven't received our cases yet...rip or hold? Do you think we will lose more money ripping or holding? Or is there any chance of making money without hitting a cut auto?

i dont know because i dont understand the non-sports market like some of the other breakers... BUT if i saw my break before i got my case - i would hold it and keep it sealed...

i waffled at the last minute... the thought of leaving a possible quad or cut in the case overtook common sense LOL

but right now, with as many autos as there are on ebay... i really cannot see anyone coming anywhere CLOSE to breaking even unless you hit a huge card... or you have your hands on a SP or ultra SP (and that official list will not surface until 1-2 weeks post street) - only one can infer and approximate what the sps are from lookin at ebay and everyone elses breaks.

The collation and quality of autographs are poor.

Looks like the quads are somewhat scarce. Hopefully, when the dust settles, the identified short prints, quads, and the number of cuts still out there will keep the price up. It's definitely a shorter print run than last year.
