Going through some drawers the other day and came across a decent sized stack of MTG cards that I forgot I had. There are 173 cards (50 of them are land) and if I had to guess on a date for them, I would say they were from the late 90s. I have no need for them so I'd like to move them.
I have two problems, I don't even know what to ask and I'm not real sure what series they were from. I have a box that was with them that says "Tempest" so I'm guessing some are from that series. There seem to be a mix of series since I have some cards with each of the following symbols: hammer, circle with the middle filled in, gate, bridge (I have one card that has a gold bridge and a couple with silver bridges), and a thundercloud. Anyone able to help? __________________ Dusty I collect Justin Morneau NeedMoMorneau.com |

Hammer should be antiquities. Can you post some scans.

Here's a link to help you tell what the sets are:
Essential Magic - Cardsets These are my guesses as to what they are. I think the hammer is Urza's Legacy The thundercloud is definately Tempest. (Let me know what you have out of this set as I have a nearly complete set, just missing some of the rarer cards of course.) Bridge is Exodus Gate is Stronghold As for the circle...just a guess, but I think that is probably Portal...but I'd have to see scans to be sure. I usually use Essentialmagic.com to look up prices as it gives an estimated e-bay price on most of my cards. Also...haven't forgotten about the Morneau cards I have...just haven't had a chance to scan them. I'll get that done as soon as I can. __________________ Die hard Pittsburgh fan all around...Penguins, Steelers and Pirates (Yes...even the pirates...) The golds are rares and the silvers are uncommons. Those are generally going to hold a higher value than the black symbols. Post scans/names of those cards and what set they come from and that might get you a better idea of their value. You could pick up a Scrye (sp?) to find the values, but I think they are essentially like a Beckett (useless for real value).

Yeah..what he said. Hehehe. I figured you were talking about Portal before, but I couldn't be 100% sure.
Mmmm..Arabian Nights. One of my favorite/weird cards comes out of that set. __________________ Die hard Pittsburgh fan all around...Penguins, Steelers and Pirates (Yes...even the pirates...)
