Still no females though. If the females sign it will be a slam dunk.

I still dont know about this product. I have a case pre ordered but I dont know how you would make the money back unless you hit a Claire auto or something. I mean how much will a Mohinder or a Matt Parkman really sell for? 10-15? If that? That leaves alot of the box price left to work for...the set will probably get 10-12. I just dont know but then again I havent made money off a case of cards in awhile so I might be thinking a little negative.

if you've never opened a non sports product, you wouldn't understand crazy $ collectors will throw at them. i doubled my money on Star Wars 30th anniversary without hitting a big auto or sketch. DC legacy was a good money maker for me as well. many $100-$200 sketch cards.
non sports products are completely different........ non-sports collectors aren't as ficlke as sports collectors. you can't compare this to any Football, Baseball..etc product. Chris made a remark about $1000+ autos in Heroes, and i tend to agree with that. the "common" autos will be $40-$50 cards initially. if the sketch cards are all color, they'll fetch $100-$300 for a good while after release. the costume cards will be money as well.
if you're skeptical, keep the case sealed and watch it double in price. if you bust, don't even bother sorting the base. just pull the parallels/inserts and make sets of those.

I agree --
non-sport cards are a different animal ...... I most cases you don't have the onslaught on releases like in sportscards ..... many of the sci-fi and movie card releases sell very, very well and most are quite limited productions compared to sportscards .....
If you like Peyton Manning how many different jersey & autograph cards you gonna be able to choose from this year ??? ALOT --- If you're a fan of Heroes or Lost or some TV series or movie how many different releases are you gonna be able to choose from ?? Probably 1 for the entire year ...
makes non-sport sales alot different than sportscards ....
just look at some of the wicked high sales for sketch cards --- think a sketch card of Manning would bring hundred's of dollars like some Star Wars, LOTR sketches do ?? No way ..... different animal completely ....

I can still remember opening cases of Artbox's Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban and making a nice profit on EVERY case ...
I was paying $ 500 for a 10 box case and in one box pulled a Ron Weasley shirt #"d to 100 ..... I figured "hey, that's pretty limited and should be decent" .... well it ended up selling for $ 550 ...... a 1 color shirt card #'d to 100 paid for my entire case ....
not too many jersey cards #"d to 100 or even autograph card #'d to 100 in sportscards would ever sell that high ...

I personally don't see any autograph selling in the $ 15 range ...... actually I'd be shocked if any autograph does'nt sell for at least $ 30-50 right out of the gate , especially if this is going to be limited .... this show has a huge fan base (especially overseas) and I think this is a killer release ...
If they can add Claire & Nicki to the autos this stuff could easily double in price within 1 a month or 2 after release ... The sketches I've seen are all quality ones and Topps has refused quite a few that are'nt up to the standards they want for this release and you could be really surprised what a particular sketch card might sell for .......
Just look at the non-sport update website to see the interest in this set ... currently 52 pages of threads on this release !!!

I have read Jan. 23rd as the newest release date. It looks like Topps is waiting on some more sketch cards and the female signers. I think they are trying to assure the one hit per box ratios work out.

I've never done a non-sports case before and have only seen the show a few times, it is pretty good. What is everyone's thoughts on this product?
