Wow! I only ordered one, but I'll probably grab a couple more - want to get a few of my base cards. Good luck with your 80, you should get some real nice stuff!!

On a side note, I've been trying to put the promo set together... any chance you've got some for trade? Not sure where you ordered your sets from, but I'm still looking for the Amazon and Ebay promos if you've got any extras of those.

I haven't got a single promo yet. I gotta get better at getting my hands on them.

ehhh = "world's first double-sided sketch card" belongs to 5finity's manga mandy release with dean yeagle on one side and select artists on the other.

having said that, this looks like a winner!

The best artists in the card industry have really put their best efforts to make this one of the most beautiful sets you have ever seen. Our graphics department has come up with some great designs. And the sets will be chock full of extras too! We will be giving away 50 promo card sets with special promos only found in these redemption sets. We will also be giving away 5 beautiful Bettie Page art books by Olivia, and 2 of them come in a special black slipcase, signed and numbered by Olivia herself! And last but not least we will be giving away 2 different Bettie Page mini-statues and a Bettie Page mini-bust. All of these redemption cards together will fall roughly 1 in every 17 sets!

Apart from those we will have chase cards too. The average ratios are as follows:

Special Tribute card (1:40)

Clear card (1:25)

Double-Sided Sketch card (1:16)

Embossed card (1:15)

One-of-a-Kind Artist Autograph card (1:10)

Foil card (1:5)

That's an average ratio of 1 in every 2 sets having some sort of special insert!!!

And apart from all of that, there will be a special mail away offer for a 5-card X-Ray subset of Bettie Page photos on one side and images of Bettie drawn by the artist "Gooney Toons" on the other!

The sets will come in their very own individual tin boxes with holographic labels and individually numbered.

Maybe you'll hit one of the redemptions for the special full set.

Did I read that right that only half the sets have any sort of insert at all? I thought initially there was 1 sketch per set. . . but I could be imagining that. . .

I think it's one sketch per set and then the other inserts are gravy.

I think you're correct. It's the first bullet point on the sell sheet I posted.

The only thing I'm not sure of is if the double-sided sketch cards take the place of the one sketch, or if they're in addition-to. My guess is they're extras, so some sets could have two sketch cards - well, three if you count both sides of the dual.

Tim is right. You get one "Silver Sketch" per box. The inserts and additional content is a bonus. The only thing I am not certain on, is the double sided sketch. I just sent an e-mail to Billy, so hopefull I will get an answer.

Edit: Just got confirmation. Inserts do not replace a sketch, however a double sides sketch will replace a regular sketch.

Ahh. . . I see. . . I just read Billy's comments from Versicolor. . . his announcement should clarify about each set containing a sketch because if you just see that announcement it doesn't seem like there is anything in each set:

"That's an average ratio of 1 in every 2 sets having some sort of special insert!!!"

Thanks for the clarification. . .

Good luck! I think it'll be a nice set, but the market is ultra saturated for this right now.

I also don't understand double sided sketch cards. . . I mean -- you can only look at one side at a time so what's the point? With the Magna Mandy set -- for any Mandy set, actually, it's not possible to improve on a Dean Yeagle sketch, so I think his work should always stand alone. . . I'd rather get a Dean Yeagle and a Katie Cook sketch than both on one card.

Should be interesting!

Jon

I'm a big Bettie Page collector but I don't like some of the liberties a few artists are taking with their sketches of her, that being said I'll still buy a couple..

I will ge busting either 40 or 80 of these as well. By odds, the promo set redemptions should fall 1 per 20 sets.
