Here's the highlights from my latest batch of pulls and purchases.
I've had some good luck lately as 7 of these are pulls, though I've opened a ton of this product recently:

Pulling the Walks was a great feeling as was pulling a Simko. Fingers crossed I can pull a full color Simko some day as I really like his cards.

Got some good purchases on the way too including some Chris Mason and Puis return cards.

I like this one and got it at a pretty good price. Any idea who the artist is?

I have a sketch by this artist as well. I've been trying to match this signature with the list of artists...pretty much impossible. Why would an artist not want to be recognized? very frustrating! how hard would it have been to print their name as well?

Those are some of the same artists that I thought too. In checking your highlighted names, I do have a few sketches in my collection that I can eliminate from your list... Chris Foreman, Chris Manuel, and Chris Raimo. That narrows it down a bit.

I have been able to identify signatures in the past by searching eBay for an individual sketch artist name and sometimes a seller who knows the name will scan the back along with the front.

Thanks for the help!

I've been checking ebay as well...no luck. I find this extremely annoying!
Someone has to know who this artist is?

Mars Attacks 2012 Heritage...From my observations on ebay, it seems that most dealers have killed the value of the Sketch, Base, 3D, Len Brown Autographed Cards, Green Card sets...soon the Gold and Silver Cards will tank as well. They have cheapened it in their desperation to reclaim the money spent on cases. It will take years for this great release to show it's true collectors potential...I predict we will see cases going for $200 or less soon.

good, as long as you are not a troll you have some hope, so let me tell you that no way do MA cases drop to 200 per. not even close. yes the non-dealers who had some coin panicked and sold the green and other sets too low, but the sketches and plates are strong and i expect the silvers and golds to bounce back once the initial non-experienced breakers are done dumping their product in a panic to get some money back.

i will also add that two distributors are sold out that i know of, and i expect the wax to hold its value in the short-run before climbing in the long run.

finally, don't give up on the 3D cards - those will take some time but years from now even they will be bringing some decent money.

I agree with almost everything you stated, but I disagree with the sketch cards comment...look on ebay for the insanely low pricing of some of the sketches. yes, the 3D cards are sleepers. Down the road, they will prove their value as they are fantastic...What 2 distributors are sold out? I know of one dealer that bought all of the remaining cases directly from Topps...of course he would not give the quantity.
I would like to know how many cases were manufactured? any idea?

Does anyone know who sketched this card?

After I saw this sketch card posted recently to the Mars Attacks Facebook page, I got to thinking...

Maybe Topps should consider releasing an entire set made up to look like these! I know it sounds weird, but I'd get one!

They could call it Mars Attacks Recollected!

What fun!

I'd leave it on the coffee table as a conversation piece.

Everybody mistreated their Mars Attacks cards! They came out before kids collected everything. I remember an entire set of these we punched holes through and strung on the wall on a string!

If you think about it most people don't own a set of the 1962-edition cards. Also, there are a lot of people who remember having those cards but they don't now have their original set. The perfect vehicle for nostalgia-seekers, then, is NOT a pristine set of 2012 re-issues (though those are nice too). A complete Mars Attacks! set made to look like some were used in bicycle spokes, torn and repaired, written on, holes punched in would in fact be the perfect blast from the past and quite a conversation piece.

If Topps doesn't like the idea maybe I'll make my own set from the current re-release. Just imagine the spots and stains and doodles and missing corners, oh joy!

IIRC, that was a return card and not in the Topps Sketch cards included in the packs?

The distressed card is indeed a Chris Henderson return. I snagged it as soon as I saw the listing.

I'll be looking for another then!

Here's a different take on the distressed look, by John Soukup:

That one sold for less than $4.00! There are some real great buys out there.
