I need help with two cards. Half way through my 10 cases - and these 2 have me stumped.. Also if anyone knows who "Little House" is - that would be a big help.

Thank you in advance,
Byron

The first one looks like Tyler Scarlet. On the second one, the first name looks like Brett, so I think it might be Brett Farr, but I couldn't find a sample of his signature, so I'm not 100% sure.

Hey guys remember in my post earlier in this thread that I was afraid the sketches wouldn't sell very well. I also said I was afraid that the product might be a flop which it is still to early to tell but I know that nothing from it is selling very well from what I can tell. Look at the prices on the sketch cards that are about to end tonight. Not very good. Look at the prices on printing plates. Not very good. Look at the prices on golds and other inserts. Not too good. Like I said may still be to early to tell but the resale isn't looking to good on this product. There have only been 2 sketch cards sell well and that is a dastick and a high end proctor. Compare the sketch cards from this product and the sketch cards from galaxy 7 for example. For the same artists same style the prices are much higher for galaxy 7. I just don't think that there is enough interest in sketch cards from mars attacks for them to sell well. Again I am kind of a newbie about non sports cards and the market for them so I could be totally wrong. Compare the gold parallel prices to the golds from GPK.

I'll give you my opinion on the Golds real quick - I'm not too worried because I didn't break this just for sketches and plates.

People listed Golds right where they should have been listed - however buyers came out and gave low offers right out the gate (nothing wrong with that) - and the sellers accepted them INSTANTLY! You had cards listed at $99.99 going for $34.99-40 in a matter of 5-12 hours. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why sellers weren't countering or waiting closer to the 48 hour mark to see what other offers might come in.

By selling the Golds so low, the Silvers were sunk right along with it. I didn't think this set would be a GPK/WPK - but I think it has more in it.

bases on current resell prices I do not see the case price going up on this very much if at all. and I agree the reason for the low ebay prices is people listing to low and accepting low offers. but on the sketches the value just isn't there for this product. a big let down i was hoping the sketches would sell well.

You have to remember - the sketch market is overly saturated. If you pre-sold your sets and listed/sold your plates, parallels, autographs (late addition so profit here). Then the Sketches should have been your profit. If you opened and didn't do anything I mentioned before - then you would be disappointed with the results.

I'm also hoping the with SDCC, there will be a little surge coming next week when its over.

I completely agree with Byron. Sellers are so anxious to sell anything right now, to recoup a little money, that it does hurt all prices in the long run. Same is happening in regards to the Walking Dead comic cards. I'm in it for the long haul. I'll wait and see what happens to prices in Oct, when the show's back on and the hype starts all over again, like it did in March.

If the price stays low I may be throwing a bid on it myself.

Looks like the sketch cards are starting to sell very well. Teds are doing real well. Some of the artists interpretations of the original cards are awsome.

Hi there, first post but lurking for quite a while! So I bought 3 cases and have opened all but a case so far. I am disappointed a bit with my sketch pulls, as quite a few b&w and with silver base going for a few bucks on Ebay, I am not thinking I am getting my $45ish/box value back. I think the case breaks may be a dud, but the person picking out the quality online may be the winner.

With that said, I have been buying quite a few sketch, foils, and golds on Ebay. A few from some of you I can see. Little worried I am catching a falling knife lol! I think the printing plates are a dud because this set is beautiful color, and noted for the artwork. A plate with 1/4 of the design is boring and does not capture the beauty of the design, so I think that is why the values are not there despite the scarcity.

However, the positives are.........I see some really good quality in many of the color sketches and the better ones seem to be selling fairly well. Golds at $30-$40 ain't too shabby either. Brown signed foils I thought would be better, I bought a few at $125-$70. I think I am done with those for a while though. But still only 1/10, I mean that is pretty cool.

Do you think this is a flop or will it start to pick up a bit? Seems like people bought lots of cases for a big score and then just started dumping at a low BIN. I hope it was to get some money back and is typical of a new release with being lots of initial quantity.

With only 50 gold cards for each, quality sketches, and the foil cards, I think this is a cool set. I am hopeful it will gain traction, or at least have a true following for years to come.

What are your thoughts now?

sketches = better than expected - a bonus; short- and long-term a win.
golds = below avg but long-term will come back
silvers = an utter disaster; will come back some but not to where they should be
autos = lousy execution but scarcity and possible master set collectors will keep them strong - look for uptick later
plates = very disappointing but i can see these doing well long-term as well but not as much room for growth as the golds
3D - sleeper - will do quite well very long-term
