I have opened 20 personally and all very similar. I wouldn't call a little blood a variant. We are talking a walker card. If there was writing, true color variations, etc, then we would have a variant.

For those on here that bought Season 2 cases..how much was original preorder on a case? I know a case now is around $1800. But how much were the original cases going for?

Also, where did you order from? Blowout, other site, local shop? If you don't want to give out site in thread, I'll gladly take a pm.

I'm trying to figure out roughly how much a season 3 case will be. I'm definitely interested in picking one up for as close to "retail" as possible.

Some people were able to pre-order for around $700. But a lot of those pre-sales were later allocated and many orders were cut or delayed while the dealers scrambled to get enough product to fullfill even their reduced orders.

Based on how pre-sales went for Season 2, I would guess that it will be very unlikely to get a case on pre-sale for less than $1k, if you can get a whole cast at all. I think the only way you will get a better price and any kind of quantity will be to build a relationship with a dealer and buy a lot of other products throughout the year.

^^^^^ speaking of talking to someone about getting WD Season 3, ask Cujobyte about his rewards program. I got a great deal on a BBT case by buying a case of Batman the Legend, and I hope to buy enough throughout the year so I can pre-order a case of WD from him.

So I got my box in the mail today that I brought online for $115.
Even though there were no big hits, I'm happy as I didn't have the auto or character wardrobe and the shadowbox was the last one I needed of the 9.

Auto: A3 Jeffery DeMunn
Wardrobe: M3 Shane Dark Blue Jacket
M29 Walker

My last box of this I will open and binder comes with my TBBT cards in next couple weeks.

Sorry if this has been addressed, but this is 130 page thread!

Did they do an equal number of sketches for each character? Or was that info not released?

Thanks!

Definitely not equal numbers of sketches for each character. At one point there was a running total based on what artists had posted on various websites. The biggest number of sketches was for zombies, then Rick has the most of any of the characters. A few of the characters have only a handful of sketches. Apparently, each actor had to approve which artists could draw them. If I remember correctly, T-Dog had the fewest, I think we only saw 2 sketches of him. Darryl also had only a small handful I think.

Search ebay for 'walking dead color test' card. Its a $30-50 card, not so bad to pull.

No, it's a novelty for collectors who have already obtained the set and are just looking for an extra boost to their collections.

Take $20 and be happy.

I have chance to get a few boxes, or even a case, of this for a decent price.

Are there any big chase hits left, or just the usual big autograph names to pull? I am mainly doing it for the autographs, but if there is some bigger hits still left, I might grab the case.

Thanks!

What kind of prices?

I haven't seen a running list or anything, but you're bound to pull some really good chase cards. You can get a good price on boxes or even a case and want to spend the money, I'd purchase in a heartbeat.

No, he said he's getting them in soon and we'll be receiving our invoices next week. Add or subtract a few days though for processing and what have you.
