I was just at my local Target and saw they had about 10 blister packs of The Walking Dead. $4.99 a piece and had two packs in each. But at odds of a hit at 1:1,000 as stated on the back, I'm good.

What odds were 1:1000? Like autos, wardrobes, shadowbox? Or just for autos?

No we are talking about overall odds for a hit. Autographs are 1:2,000 and wardrobe cards are also 1:2,000. Not very good at all.

I BELIEVE Miranda said those were the odds of getting a 'hit' (I would take that as a wardrobe or sketch). It was in this thread maybe 5-10 pages back? lol not exactly sure but if you find her profile you could find said post easier.

Looks like the "hot pack" searchers are out of luck on these since they are blister packed.
Smart idea to package them that way.

I just opened up my two boxes from Crypto that came in today. I got the same autograph in both boxes A9 - Lauren Cohan - but I got a Bob Stevlic sketch!!! Looks like a barn scene to me, which I'm happy about! *I'm keeping this for my personal collection - please no PMs offering to buy or trade* My other hits were all duplicates that I already had from my case break last night so I put them all up on eBay at $0.99 each to see where they go. I still need 12 wardrobe cards to complete my set and 3 autos.

Here is all the information posted by Miranda:

Information regarding retail odds:

Reasoning behind no Shane Walker autograph variation & inclusion of a Sophia Walker autograph variation:

Or, collectors have an artificially inflated secondary marketing for the hard to find version, and just have to spend more money to complete their sets.

**If you haven't seen Season 2 there will be spoilers!**
Apart from that, Shane as a Walker didn't seem like a big enough event to make two versions (based on what I have to weigh two versions against listed above). Story-wise, he needed to die so that Rick could keep the group (and his family) safe. Shane's death also served to prove the information that Rick got from Dr. Jenner at the CDC about the reanimation process. Shane was a major enough character in Season 2, that had we cut the availability of each version in half, the price for the actor's autograph likely would have really increased. Our collectors have a difficult time securing product, and often spend way more on a box than we would like--cutting Bernthal's auto quantities in half would have likely increased the price for the autograph beyond our comfort level.

Sophia, on the other hand, had a very long story arc about if she was alive or dead. When she was found in the barn this was an important moment for the show and the character. Since she is still alive in the comics, her being a Walker in the barn is a huge deviation from the comic storyline, and had enough impact on the show that I thought it would be worth looking into.
Once we were able to secure a deal for enough signatures to balance out her two versions, I thought it would be a really nice way to include her. For those you who followed Season 1, we weren't able to use her likeness in Season 1 Trading Cards, so featuring her both as alive and as a Walker seemed like the best thing.
Information regarding Season 1 redemptions:

These are Season 1 cards and will still be available to Season 1 customers. Obviously not every pack has been opened at this point (as we wouldn't be having this conversation), and those cards will be held aside for the customers that continue to purchase Season 1 product.
Information regarding shipping of product bought from the Cryptozoic Store:

We used estimated shipping times and some might get it a bit early, for questionable ones I erred on the long side figuring people would not mind to get it early, but be sad to get it late.
Odds and insight for Season 2 from Cryptozoic:

All of the autos are pretty even, although Sophia's two versions could get a little off from getting both out of 2 cases. Everything I looked at in NC looked really good, without duplicates of Auto or Wardrobe out of a case.
Yes, you do get a Walker Wardrobe out of every box, but that never took the place of a Non-Walker Wardrobe--it was always designed to be in addition to the one Character Wardrobe per box. We did have a bit extra Wardrobe swatches, so we increased the ration from 1:24 to about 1:21, so you should get about 13 Character Wardrobe per case.
Information about Andrea's "Blue Hoodie":

Our printer realized we had the wrong color listed, but I didn't want to delay the entire product to reprint the cards. I apologize for the confusion, and we have put in place a "checks system" to have all future cards verified before files are finalized!

sorry to hear...Im curious as to this "place" in NC that did their pack out...obviously we have all seen and read about multiple hits in boxes and some boxes having "4" autographs is insane, but I knew after seeing all these multiple loaded boxes others were going to get "burnt" on some boxes...hope Cryptozoic can make up for this to you, but then again there will be those deceiftful people that will write and complain about "missing cards" just to try and score free cards, and in no way am I implying this to you but I'm sure it will happen......happens all to frequently in the sports boxes from Topps & Upper Deck

Even though I pulled my sketch in the first box, I ended up cracking 1 full case...other case will eventually be flipped. Here are the results (not in sequential order):

Box 1
M10 Maggie's Green Tank
M28
Sketch by Hayden Davis
A5 Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon

Box 2
M6 Glen's Brown Shirt
M28
DM03 Lori & Shane Dual (only dual of the case)
A14 Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes

Box 3
M21 Carol's Grey Pants
M31 (Teal with what looks to be blood splatter)
A13 Laurie Holden as Andrea

Box 4
M8 Dale's White Tank
M30 (with a little blood)
A7 Madison Lintz as Sophia

Box 5
M25 T-dog's Red Dirt Shirt
M30 (again with a little blood)
A11 Irone Singleton as T-Dog

Box 6
M14 Hershel's Beige Shirt
M32 (blue plaid)
A4 (season 1) Laurie Holden as Andrea

Box 7
M16 Rick's Dark Green Shirt
M28 (floral)
A4 Steven yeun as Glenn

Box 8
M1 Rick's Sherrif Uniform White Tee
M27 Daryl's Olive Green Jeans
M31 (funky teal/blue with dirt/blood plus gold metalic stripes)
A10 Scott Wilson as Hershel Greene

Box 9
M5 Andrea's "Blue" Hoodie
M18 Carl's Striped Hoodie
M29
A9 Lauren Cohan as Maggie Green

Box 10
M24 Dale's Cream Hawaiian Shirt
M32 Blue plaid with a bit of dirt/blood
A6 melissa Suzanne McBride as Carol

Box 11
M9 Sophia's Rianbow Tshirt (unfortunately all blue)
M31 teal with splatter
A2 Jon Bernthal as Shane Walsh

Box 12
M12 Andrea's Striped Top (4 thin stripes)
m29
A1 Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes

Although I did not get a redemption, any of the crazy 5-6 hit boxes, or even one of the top artist sketches, I certainly can not complain on the autograph assortment.

I've only seen four TOTAL so far (breaks here/elsewhere + eBay listings). The two on eBay sold for $40-$50 immediately. It's not extremely rare... but, being ~15%+ more rare (according to Miranda), with around 1 character wardrobe per box, and somewhat large wardrobe set... could get pretty high. The number of 'master set collectors' is probably the biggest driver.

At this point, I am on the fence wether to pick up the 3 cards to sell as a full set or do them individually.
