I'm new at the sketch card game, and my first gig was the recent Mars Attacks Heritage set, where I drew 108 sketch cards with 23 variations.

I'm kind of in a groove now, sketch card-wise, so when Topps asked me to do Star Wars Galactic Files, not only did I shoot for doing 106 variations, I wanted to do them all in color, as well. I was successful in both regards, as I finished all 106 different color sketch cards a week before the deadline, and they are all now at Topps for eventual random distribution.

I put together a video where I flip through all 106 cards, and I hope to post it on YouTube soon, as I just was cleared by Topps to publicly share the remainder of my SWGF sketch cards.

Awesome cards you have posted! You can tell you put a lot of effort into each and every one and made sure they were all different subjects/scenes. Hope to see more of your work in future products.

Below is a link to a video I recorded July 24. In it, I flip through all 106 of my "Star Wars Galactic Files" sketch cards, and I discuss some of my thoughts regarding subject choices, art techniques/materials, and other things. The day after the video was recorded, I shipped the group of sketch cards off to Topps for random inclusion into packs from the series -- never to be together again. The series is scheduled to be released later this month.

Really enjoyed the video. You do some great work especially on your vehicle sketches. You put in a lot of nice detail into them. Its a shame that you dont do sketch card work more often.

Thanks! Maybe after I retire I'll do art full time.

And actually -- due to the groove I'm in from the two sketch card sets I just completed -- all on my own I started drawing a set of 150 sketch cards for one other area I've long loved: pre-hero Marvel Monsters published from about 1959-1962. These aren't for any existing card set in the works. It's just something I have to artistically get out of my system.

The 150 I've already researched and identified could have been less or more -- but not much more, as the genre is from a very finite period of Marvel's history.

With the number of hits (autos/sketches/patches/parallels) and the value of the base, this might be doable.

You figure 4 spots per box (hit 1, hit 2, parallels, base), 8 boxes per case, you'd be talking approx. $25 a spot? Did I do the math right?

maybe 5
base ,inserts,pararells and 2 hits mabe around 20 before shipping

It would be REALLY tough to chance getting just the inserts as they are all going to be quite common. If I were thinking about joining a break (I'm not as I will be getting a case) I would much rather pay a little extra to have the inserts go with the parallels or base.
