Exclamation Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon Walking Dead Season 1 Trading Card A17 UNSIGNED Scans

Just throwing this out there, I picked this up from a buddy who's brother tried out for a spot on the show and was given three of these unsigned and uncirculated non-autograph A17 from Season 1 trading cards from non other than Norman Reedus himself...

So without further ado here is one of the three known unsigned cards...

No Autograph front...

No Cryptozoic seal on back...

What price range are you looking at to sell this one?

Well I'm not too keen on silent auction/bidding. So if you don't post a price then I won't offer up anything..glws!

I have to look at my signed one at home after work to see what you mean, but the three cards did come from Reedus in a letter from Georgia during the time of the shooting of Season 2 along with signed personalized photos from Norman and the rest of the cast.

Edit:

I will put side by side scans up in a few hours. I can also take pictures of the card from other angles.

I could be wrong, but weren't these cards printed well after Season 1's production ended? I assumed you were talking Season 2 in the original post.

Yeah I was talking about Season 2 in that post, sorry. They would have had the cast sign these long before the item was released I am sure anyway.

EDIT:
*Did some research these cards were released after the filming of Season 2 which was also shot around Atlanta, Georgia. So, they would have been mailed during that time.

I mean on offense to the OP, but im just giving my honest opinion.
The Cryptozoic foil logo I am sure is added after the card is signed...

Also, I don't know what A17 you have been pulling from packs that have the text slighty shifted to the right and not centered but here are the scans next to my autographed A17...

Sorry to burst your bubble its the real deal...if you require more photos let me know I would be happy to oblige.

I can see that now, I don't think any of my cards have the Crypto foil that far over that I am aware of...but do you still believe what you said before after the new scans?

Weird. I matched it up against my A17 Reedus Auto and they look identical.

Contact CZE and ask them if they put the stickers on before or after the actor signs.

Do you have a picture you can post of yours? I have sent them an e-mail asking.

Maybe it's just me but I don't see any difference between the two cards. Take away the foil on the "auto" version and it's the exact same card...or vice versa, add the foil to the "non auto" card and it looks the same. You sure your eyes aren't fooling you since there's no foil so the perception is off?

Also A3 & A4 were not held up...they were never returned by Laurie Holden...I think all the auto cards were printed up at the same time and delivered to the actors. I don't see why they would change printers just because A3 & A4 weren't returned...most companies print up all the cards at the same time and if memory serves me correctly Reedus was one of the 1st confirmed signers when S1 cards were announced.

I think that this proves that the Reedus autos are most definitely in shorter supply than the others. Anyone who knows this set will know this to be the truth. Reedus and Bernthal were the SPs from S1.

Hate to burst your bubble dude, but the Bernthal A2 is the hardest auto to pull. I did some research on this subject a few months back. What i did was i searches the forums for all of the Walking Dead case breaks. To get the proper averages, you need to use full cases, not boxes. The reason for only using cases is because the manufacturers pack them in a way to ensure you only pull a certain amount of the high end cards, and a certain amount of the low end cards. I used over 20 cases to compile my numbers from.

Heres the odds:

A1 --- 0.57/21 boxes
A2 --- 0.29/41.4 boxes
A5 --- 1.00/12 boxes
A6 --- 1.29/9.3 boxes
A7 --- 1.00/12 boxes
A8 --- 1.14/10.5 boxes
A9 --- 0.86/14 boxes
A10 --- 0.85/14.1 boxes
A11 --- 0.71/16.9 boxes
A12 --- 0.57/21 boxes
A13 --- 0.43/27.9 boxes
A14 --- 0.43/27.9 boxes
A15 --- 1.00/12 boxes
A16 --- 0.86/14 boxes
A17 --- 0.57/21 boxes
A18 --- 0.43/27.9 boxes

M1 --- 0.85/14.1 boxes
M2 --- 0.70/17.1 boxes
M3 --- 1.85/6.5 boxes
M4 --- 1.00/12 boxes
M5 --- 1.57/7.6 boxes
M6 --- 1.42/8.5 boxes
M7 --- 1.57/7.6 boxes
M8 --- 1.14/10.5 boxes
M9 --- 0.71/16.9 boxes
M10 --- 0.85/14.1 boxes
M11 --- 0.85/14.1 boxes
M12 --- 2.12/5.7 boxes
M13 --- 2.00/6 boxes
M14 --- 1.69/7.1 boxes
M15 --- 1.84/6.5 boxes
M16 --- 2.00/6 boxes
M17 --- 1.84/6.5 boxes

Red represents how many of that paticular card will come out of a 12 box case
Blue represents how many boxes you need to open to pull that card

You can't have conclusive numbers without breaking down EVERY case that CZE pumped out. Anything less is skewed and not reliable. You could open 3 additional cases and hit 3 A2s out of them.

And, might I add, that I am kinda tired of getting dicked around with this card by not getting any type of answer. I'm rescinding my offer. Good luck with the sale.
