I have a chance to pick up a magazine signed by Elvis Presley and Pat Boone. The woman at the collectible store is offering it for $30 because it is not authenticated but I could tell it was actual ink on the magazine. Is it worth the risk not authenticated?? I am traveling and I have to leave soon. Help is appreciated.

One Problem here (one of many) is that it's a collectible store.
If its an even semi-competent manager/owner who thought the autographs might have a "reasonable" chance to be real, they would put in the $ to authenticate it. If the underlying item has value on its own, I could see throwing away $10-20 to take a chance. But 999 times out of a thousand, it'll be fake |
