It hit me as collecting in its purest form. Great product and something I enjoy. I've gone back and forth about selling my Rick patch but always decide to keep it. That tells me that I'm collecting the right thing. I usually have no problem selling cards for a profit but I can't bring myself to sell it.

bernthal was $90 the first 48 hours of S1's release before settling to $50 and then going back up to $100+ after the product dried up. I would think Lincoln would be higher to start - $150? - before settling at $100 and then going up to $200 much later when the product dries up

Agree 110% with Tim.

You typically received 2 of the big 5 from BBT in a full 12 box case. Collation was great for W.D. Season 1, but his auto will probably come 1 every 1 to 1 1/2 cases I would think. Perhaps less though.

Yeah if this is a $200 card coming out of the gate you'll have to bid against me of I don't get one in my case. I think $200 is a steal for the star of the show. And it's also his first auto compared to Reedus. This set is loaded between Demunn Reedus and now Lincoln.

Unless the card is a short print, it won't be near $300. WD1 autos were not shorted the way the VD, BBT, Fringe, and Smallville ones were shorted. It's true that Reedus and Bernthal signed less autos than Carl and the others, but not that much less. If they treat WD2 the same as WD1 in terms of production, you will find Rick autos within a week of release for $100.

Also, Reedus was $40-$50 upon release. Yes he had two but it took a lot of time for that auto to jump that high.

You've already got the success of the Season 1 cards to build on, and this is the main character of the show with the most ravenous fan base out there now. Neither of those were going for the first set upon release, yet it was still a massive success.

There is so much demand for this card right now, even if it isn't that short-printed, I think the demand will be enough to drive the price skyward right out of the gate.

I hope I'm wrong so we can all add Lincolns to our collections for $100.

Ted, I'd have to agree with Tim here. I think it'll be $100-200ish. I don't think it'll be shorted like Penny in BBT.

Then again I wouldn't have imagined a Vampire Diaries material card reaching $200ish lol.

Well, like I said, I hope I'm wrong. But even if not a true SP, his popularity could help the card realize high prices.

All I know is if I see any $100 BIN upon release, I'm snatching it up!

I actually hope you are right!

And again I am not talking about the first 48 hours - I am talking about a week into the release. Personally, if not SP'd, I will set my BIN at $200.

I don't think anyone has been able to confirm that yet. Although based off of the last few sets released by CZ they haven't exactly done that with any other series since then. I mean Fringe had a decent set of signers but so many of those characters were background ones.

I'm excited now that Lincoln is a part of this series. I've got a case ordered and will blow a friggin gasket once I get it.

Product will likely be $100+ per box out of the gate as many people face allocations again.

As far as the Lincoln, I would expect it to hit the market at $200ish. All of the "heavy lifting" was done by season 1 and this set (and this card in particular) will see the benefit right off the bat.

Iggy, do you or Tim feel that blowout or any others will offer "case" presell prices? If so I was guessing $999.99 for 1 case. Not sure they'll offer it though.
