Imma call my lcs tomorrow..see if they're getting any boxes in. I'm 99% sure they'll have no idea what I'm talking about. But if they do and prices are good, then I'll get 2 boxes more on top of my two boxes.

If they won't, I might buy two more boxes online for $80 a piece. Won't pay higher than that though.

if things went my way, i would crack open my whole case and try to build the master set. could possibly search for more boxes after the fact, but may be better off just buying/trading for the autos/wardrobes i don't get. which means i would have to take a little break from the football portion of my collections.

2 retail hot packs have sold recently. One at $50, and another at $55.
I'd rather buy a box instead.

Should be only a few days until boxes start selling over $100 consistently, IMO

I'll be opening all 5 of my cases. The thought of selling a big hit to someone else when it could've been mine, makes me cringe.

Yeah, for the $105 that you would get 2 wardrobe cards from, you could get a box that will get you an auto, 1 or 2 wardrobe cards as well as a chance at a printing plate and the booklets.

I'm a big fan of the show but I do not have the funds (or time) to chase both BBT and TWD. If early prices are any indication, BBT 3&4 could make TWD S2 look like a cakewalk. Easily a 3-4K set, if not more.

Exaclty... I'd buy a hot pack for 1/3 of the cost of a box, otherwise it's not worth it.

Lol... I'm thinking the exact same thing.

I actually had a dream last night that I sold a box to a person and they start opening it in front of me.
She then proceeded to open the very first pack and hit a redemption card!!! :0

I couldn't believe it and my stomach dropped, lmao.


Could be because I've had BBT on my mind for the past few weeks, haha.

Yep... Based on guesstimations for cases at $1k. I can see The main 7 autos alone being anywhere from $2,500 on a very low end ($357 avg per card) to $4,550 + on a high end. ($650 avg per card.)

13 other autos for avg $45 each $585

With 29 costumes at an average of $45 per card that's $1,300 (this might be really low because the costumes on eBay are going for a lot)

7 dual costumes which I would assume $100 to $200 per card, is $700-$1,400

A printing plate can easily bring a few hundred being 1 per 3 cases

Both redemption cards can easily sell for $800 min to $1,400

Obviously we won't be able to know until the set is released

My case will be here in Ireland on Wednesday (it's currently in Europe)

I really want to open the case but with only one main auto in the case (more of an auto then costume collecter of BBT) and with it being almost impossible to sell costumes etc at the same price as sellers in the states I'm torn between opening or selling the case

I have one case coming and I have been looking forward to opening it, probably just going to sell the base sets as a lot, and the insert sets as a lot, not sure what I am doing with the other stuff yet.

Of course, just call lcs and they aren't getting any BBT boxes in.

I don't understand how you can make much money just selling battle cards like magic, yugioh, etc. idk call me crazy but if I had a store I'd like a solid selection. Preferably more non sports, UFC, football, baseball, etc rather than battle cards because I'd want to bring in a bigger audience. Still have some battle, but maximize selling points and have a great store.

Smh..frustrating wanting to pick up some stuff locally and only being able to order online

Not every store can get in on these Cryptozoic releases anymore. I know that a lot of distributors were only selling cases of this or Walking Dead to stores that had ordered the first release. Their way of rewarding stores that helped make the first release successful. It kind of stinks since my LCS did not order Walking Dead Series 1, so I was shut out of getting a full case, hell I was lucky to get the four boxes I ended up getting.

Saw the retail version at WalMart today but the hit odds are ridiculous.

I think about 1:1100 packs for autos and 1:500 or so for wardrobe cards.

That is a cool way of rewarding the stores that helped sell the product

My local store though has nothing. If you want battle cards, you'll love it. Other than that, no walking dead, bbt, football, baseball, non sports, etc. They didn't even know what the walking dead season 2 cards were when I inquired about them.

Only other store I have is a sports store..after couple emails owner said to preorder anything to email couple months in advance and he'll find out if he can get it. Hoping to get 1 case, 2 would be amazing, of Walking Dead 3..so fingers crossed he can get for a good price or back to the web I go.

That's stupid. I'm assuming the gravity feeders are just random individual packs with no set number of any hits per gravity. If by any chance it was, not putting them all out would throw off the number per feeder.

The vendors don't leave any of the cards "in the back". At least not at walmart and targets. They bring all the product in their vehicle to the store, check what needs to be replenished, throw away cause its discontinued, and add new product. So say there was some sort of number like 1 wardrobe per 3 feeders, then putting the product back in the truck with the rest of them just mixed it all up and randomized.

Either the stores think people are going to steal packs, or the vendors just don't think the BBT retail packs are going to sell. No reason to not fully stock it otherwise

I put together a spreadsheet with some prices, and it's possible this set could run $5500+ without redemptions. I was probably high with some of my estimates, but even if I was 20% high we're still talking around $4500.

If you're interested here are the prices I came up with (not sure with Priya...probably depends on if any of the autos A8 through A20 are SP'd)...I assumed averages on the costume cards as I'm sure some will sell for more and some for less. Should also add in that I'm not sure on the Bernadette and Amy wardrobe autos...I hope $500 ea is conservative.
