The Vampire Diaries Trading Cards Season 2

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES returns with a trading card set featuring the second season's moments of love, drama, and danger. The appearance of the villainous Katherine in Mystic Falls will throw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls must choose sides as they fall victim to a new breed of danger. New and unexpected friendships will be forged, allies will become enemies and hearts will be broken. Plus, Stefan and Damon will be forced to face a villain more evil and diabolical than they ever believed possible. Looks nice. Im sure the 1st 3 are Dobrev,Wesley, and Somerholder. I hope we get the rest of the originals in addition to Joseph Morgan.

Updates from Cryptozoic from the Philly Sports show for this set...

On the existing license front, Cryptozoic is announcing today that The Vampire Diaries Series 2 will contain randomly inserted autographed memorabilia cards. These cards (numbered A1, A2, and A3) will contain autographs and memorabilia from cast members Nina Dobrev (as Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce), Paul Wesley (as Stefan Salvatore), and Ian Somerhalder (as Damon Salvatore). You can see the cards below.

The Cryptozoic website also mentions this news, although no pic: In addition to these awesome Autograph cards, we showed fans the exclusive card that will come with the Season 2 binder: a triple Wardrobe card featuring costumes for Katherine, Stefan, and Damon!

Estimated release dates I saw was today, 11/15, 11/28, and 11/30. December looks more realistic.

Also, print run looks like 3,000 boxes.

The triple wardrobe card is the card that comes with the binder. Pretty cool incentive I think.

Not sure, probably holding back product. Wouldn't be the first time but not sure why on this release. Pricing I see on a 12-box case is around $690 and individual box price around $60.

I'm just gonna venture a guess something along the lines that 3,000 boxes is nothing and the prices they're at now are ridiculously low with the chance at another Dobrev wardrobe/auto in your case. The math works out pretty well even if the "big 3" only signed a total of 400 cards all together.

Well cryptozoic have said that the big bang theory and batman will be the next releases and realistically those won't be out till the end of january so maybe february/march. Possibly later

In case anyone is interested, Cryptozoic updated their website to list the release date of Vampire Diaries to be January 2013. I'm surprised they didn't list an actual date, but at least it looks like it will be this month.
