If I could have purchased cases at your cost I would have bought 10+ cases, but at $200+/ box I wasn't feeling it. Don't think we will be seeing lots of breaks initially because of cost. Please post though...perhaps UD loaded cases because orders were VERY light and $200 is a steal

so wait the hinged also have a sketch on both sides too? (on top of the fold out )
or was the red skulland the others printed on ?

Depending on how Leaf Wrestling goes I might buy a box of this just to try my luck. I wonder what the top sketches will pull? Anyone have any ideas?

After seeing the first few cases of this what are everyone's opinions? I think the sketches look incredibly nice, do you guys think there is value in this at $200 a box?

It's like anything else really, you gotta hit the low number stuff by the right artist drawing the right characters. Some of this stuff will do 200+

You'll be surprised how many cards will not make anywhere near 200 bucks. Some of the artists on a good day can barely pull 20 bucks so having a larger piece just devalues the art even more. Bad art on one card, eh, bad art on 3 sides not good. Bad art on 5 sides or 7 sides, really not good. Upperdeck tossed out entire sets from some artists just because one side was drawn badly. I know of a few guys who had all their cards rejected.

If Veronica O'Connell was in this set I would have been much more interested. I just decided to save up and get a commission done instead.

^^^ Wise man. I'm not buying any of it either. I like comic books too! I'd rather spend $200 on some nice back issues and key books.

$50 for base cards wtf

you know not everyone in this hobby is trying to make a profit.
i buy and keep what i get, if i get rubbish thats the gamble in this hobby
When i am older and have kids they will inherit my collection and if i dont have kids i will auction off what i have and give it to a charity

While I like some of the characters, I don't have much interest in comic books. But I do like sketch cards, so this is a pretty cool product for people like me. However, I'm only buying singles :)

Now I just need to figure out how to protect and display these multi-panel cards...

I am not really a "comic" collector. I really think sketch cards are cool and they definitely hold their value well. Don't have to worry so much about the person on the card getting injured or traded and losing value.

I bought this on a whim. Stargate SG-1 is a badass show and it will always be well known. This card will only go up in value, because of the artist and the popularity of the show. That is why I would rather invest in non-sports as opposed to sports.

Look at what he sold a Thanos Sara Richard for... Just my opinion though.
