I mentioned earlier that I had to sell a few cards I wish I didn't.

Well, I was able to re-acquire 2 of the Premier APs I didn't really want to lose:

Elvin Hernandez

Joe St.Pierre

I also have a trade in the works to possible get back my overall favorite Premier card I had

Got another great Bronze Age commission in today--this one from Sam Agro (larger image here):

And thanks to Tim for this amazing Bettie Page by Gary Kezele (my first by him):

Thanks to a trade with mcguirem13, I was able to return my favorite Ghost Rider sketch to my PC

Adriana Melo

And Mark, being an awesome and generous guy, even threw in this sweet card for my collection

My first batch of Space purchases came in today

I know some of these are better viewed with larger images, so you can see bigger versions of these in my album here: monkeymcgee's uploaded images - Imgur

Chadwick Haverland

Dan Gorman x2

Gavin Hunt x2

Ingrid Hardy

Ted Dastick, Jr

Tim Proctor

And of course, I had to get one of the dogs by Kristina Sepulveda. My dog is named "ZIB," which is a Russian acronym for "substitute for missing Bolik". He got that name because the original dog that was supposed to go on the flight, Bolik, ran away a few days before the launch. ZIB was an untrained street dog they found around the barracks and ended up making a successful sub-orbital flight (not technically into space, but not bad for a street dog). (true story) I didn't know all this until a few minutes ago, but I ecstatic now that this is the dog I ended up with

One thing to notice also about the Space Dogs, is on many of them Kristina tailored the sketches based on those real events. On the Bolik sketch, he is sitting on top of a dog house, looking up towards space since he trained and didn't go, but ZIB did. Another dog that had a flight with a number of technical difficulties was depicted as flying through space in a random pattern with a white trail line zigzagging through space. If you know the background of those dogs, some of the sketches take on even more meaning.

Well, events conspired to give me a little extra cash at a very helpful time I know a lot of these sketches will be disappearing into collections soon, so I wanted get them while the getting was good.

Yes, the Space! dog sketches are great. I managed to snag Ugolyok via the BO case break and am quite thrilled. It has him sitting on a helmet on top of a podium with a large Russian flag, rocket, and moon behind him. He set the record for dogs in space at 22 days along with his "co-pilot" Veterok.

I am still waiting for my packs of Space! to arrive due a combination of International shipping and an unfortunate mishap at the Vegas Post Office. Sweet agony....

Soon my friend! Lesson learned: Always make sure the clerk attaches the customs form to the correct package!

Sorry to hear about that--I would be going crazy with seeing all the other breaks being posted. I know you'll be happy once you get them though. I know it's a cliche in the sketch world, but these are really even better than the scans can show.

Those are awesome, but I'm just focusing on sketch cards at this time. I've got a couple comic sketches now and they are just really hard to display and store with my current set up.

Welp ya coulda just asked fer a GR commission on a Bronze age or Heroes Villains or Marvel Universe or Upperdeck Avengers or MB2 AP's. But I know you're holding out for one of my double cards from MGB right? right? yeahhh.
I'm always drawing GR because I likes to draw him on different skoots, not just the silly one they use in the comics. Well except Marc Silvestri's Hellbike. That's the best Hellbike out there. Although the Indian with Ape-hangers version from Clayton Crain was nice. Kinda reminded me of Indian Larry's Bikes.

To be honest, I thought you said you weren't taking commissions. I'd love to have a Ghost Rider from you. Well, once I have a little money saved up again

Ha--that's an awesome idea

EDIT: We'd have to put him in an oxygen-supplied environment though or the flames would go out

Well maybe not a direct commission but a suggestion may happen and GR's flames are from Hell they need no oxygen to keep em going.
