Nice set!

But where's the Curd sculpture? I don't see that "artist" in your set.

Yeah, fair point.

I'll revise it and call it my sketch artist set

Here's a couple more

I had bid on this Tim Shay before I bought my other one and I surprisingly ended up winning the auction with a pretty low bid IMO

The joke has already been made, but why not do it again.

Here's one Internet Badass of a sketch by Gary Kezele

I've been browsing sketchcollectors and its so funny... you know you hit a run of Monkey McGee sketch cards by the green boarder... I keep saying to myself, "I don't remember Monkey posting that one."

Its too bad Gary hasn't done an Artcast in forever. His cast were fun because he can talk a mile a minute and loves Hot Peppers. If ya talk to him try to get him to artcast again.

Yeah, it's sort of my trademark I actually did that back when I was selling because the green sets off the corners so well and you can easily show the condition in scans. I tried everything I could not to surprise a buyer when it comes to condition; admittedly that was a much bigger deal on the sports card side of things. But the green poster board is taped to my scanner and I've been too lazy to remove it

Very cool--I'd love to see him at work. I've become a big fan of his cards.

I've been wanting to get a Walking Dead TV show sketch, but I'm not paying the insane prices that the Cryptozoic sketches go for.

I was able to pick up this Jack Redd PSC for a cool $50

In my opinion, the best value in the hobby may be when Tim Proctor holds his PSC sales (commissioned or otherwise). Where else do you get this kind of quality for $20 (per card)?

I also picked up a couple PSCs from Victra, aka Victoria Price, who has a style I really enjoy.

Since my old photobucket links above are broken now, here are my other Victra cards and pin-ups:

Just realized I forgot to scan this one, which will likely be the last SPACE card I pick up:

Dan Gorman

And picked this one by Sara Richard up from the amazing Spellcasters product that recently came out (really nice sketches in this if you aren't married to licensed subjects)

Thanks George--you did some great work on Space, but I think the one I picked up was my favorite of your work

Some more Spellcasters in today:

Ted Dastick (he did a really cool animal theme with his cards)

Lak Lim (amazing lines and coloring on this)

Always fun to come back from a business trip to find sketch cards waiting

Meghan Hetrick (my first one from Meghan, this one is a PSC--I had been trying for awhile to get one of hers and then I won another auction last night for one of the Spellcasters incentives)

Kat Laurange (thought I got a great price on this - $25 shipped)

Hanie Mohd (from Spellcasters)

I had some empty hinged-card holders from my Great Sell-Off, so I had to remedy that

Ajahy Cerezo

Rodney Ramos

Bob Petrecca

Also, I realized I never scanned this one in. I got it in a trade and I was not really happy about sketch cards at the time when it arrived. Probably my favorite by Cruddie from Premier

Cruddie Torian

I've been playing with the idea of creating a gallery with the cards I had sold off. I know several of them have ended up with other collectors here, but the vast majority have not been seen again. Would you guys have any interest in that?

I went ahead and did the already sold gallery here: Sold Sketches - a set on Flickr

Flickr only lets you display 200 photos for free and I'm not paying for this, so I don't have everything on there. I believe most of my Marvel Premier cards did make in though.

Wow monkey, that was quite a collection you had going on there. If only one day mine can be that extensive. Thanks for sharing!
