I will not confirm or deny that I have already placed a bid on that one

I seriously doubt I will get it for my max bid, but it doesn't hurt to take a shot.

Thanks for the head's up, though. Someone else actually PMed about it yesterday.

Fellow board member Lak Lim posted this beauty up on Facebook and I grabbed it with a quickness

Lak was nice enough to send these two as well

Heh good on Lak. I'll be doing a series of sketch cards based on my favorite thing ever. Boobs side boob to be specific. All airbrushed boobs, some clothed in see through cloth but mostly just bare nekkid boobs.

Nice pick-ups. Treece was doing a Ghost Rider on his ustream the other day... I couldn't help but wonder if it was for you... well?

I hope Roy does his side boob tribute cards on live streaming. It's been a while since he's posted about a stream.

Thanks Mark--he said he would be doing some more PSCs, so you might want to get your requests in now

I've been waiting for a set called Boobs--this could be your entre into the artist list

Nope--not for me. I haven't gotten any commissions for a while, unfortunately. And I just missed out on that damn Webber sketch cover too

Yeah, I actually have a Marvel Premier AP sketch commissioned from Lak. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

I was bummed when I missed out on this Roy Cover card the first time it was listed, but I was glad I got another shot at it.

Ha! I was also bummed the first time around. Didn't even catch that it was up for grabs again. Nice pick-up! Roy does an excellent Cap.

I had missed it as well, but this blogger posted about it on Facebook and I put in my offer with a quickness

Does anyone have any Marvel Premier Classic corner or shadowboxes they would sell?

I've been putting it off, but last week I finally compiled my YTD hobby activity and it wasn't pretty. I've made a few-to-several cases-worth of hobby profit that I need to spend by the end of the year or get beat up by the taxman again (profits are taxed at your tax bracket + another 15% for self-employment).

So, I will be buying some cards to get that number down. Hard times, I know

Wax I will probably be buying: Mars Attacks (new product), Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, and Psyche (if SOA or BB doesn't come out this year).

I would really like to bust a case of the GPK Chrome product, but since I'm not selling it would be too hard to move what I didn't want through trades (I'm not really a GPK collector, I just like chrome a lot).

As far as singles go, I'm chasing certain artists and I'll be looking hard at the Retro sketches when they drop.

I should have some good maildays to show in the next week or so. I picked up 3 pieces from one of my favorite artists, I reclaimed a card I had previously sold during my firesale, and I got a very cool PSC set.

Without further ado, here's my first card in from this batch of acquisitions--a Creature from the Black Lagoon PSC by Robert Jimenez (known as Zerostreet around these parts):

Feels good to have a super sexy mailday again.

All three are from Gary Kezele

Dawn: New Horizons - SDCC 13 exclusive

Al Pacino from The Devils Advocate - Leaf Pop Century AP

Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad - PSC

My best purchase for August is already a hard choice

Thanks--Gary mentioned he though the BB one might be one of his better ones. I have to say it's a beauty in person, even more than the scan.

Some more nice additions today

First up is this Black Cat by Sara Richard. This was one of those I regretted selling during my emergency situation earlier this year. It also provides a bit of a microcosm on the recent value of sketches:

Dec 4, 2012 - Bought for $149.75 (and someone told me I had just beat them to it, so it wasn't like this was a bad price)

March 4, 2013 - Sold for $99.99

August 11, 2013 - Bought for $72.3
1

These Bettie Page sketches are by Trev Murphy, who I think is pretty undervalued.

This is the only Carnival sketch I've bought. I liked the sketches overall, but this was the only one I felt like I had to have. I hoped it will still be available once I had some money available again and it was. To me, this is the best card in the product. I give you the Fire-Eater by Gary Kezele:

Nice job reclaiming that Black Cat by Sara. One of the better sketches from Bronze Age. It is amazing the valuation drops on some sketches. Though, as pointed out in another thread, I think people have become highly selective due to the economy again.

I was watching that Sara Richard but wasn't really interested in paying for it. From what I've seen, it looks like the value of her cards is actually creeping up a little bit But maybe I just haven't been paying great attention.

Pretty much agree on the GK Fire Eater. Not certain it was my very favorite (I was partial to the Edlund Spider-Girl) but top 5 for sure.

I helped out another collector with an interesting Premier sketch set he was trying to put together and picked these up in trade:

Elvin Hernandez

Stuart Sayger

This next group is a Sons of Anarchy PSC group done by Tim Proctor that I picked up from THE_BEAST. I'm going to see if I can add some additional ones to the set (Gemma, Piney, Tara, Nero, Darby, Romeo, and Venus Van Dam come to mind).

I've going to leave the thumbs small for these since they look better from that perspective. A larger version, along with the actor and character names, is in the details if you want to click on any.

I thought this post might be a trick and only have your gold refractor

Did I ever tell you that Stuart Sayger told me the Spider-Woman he did for Premier was his LEAST favorite? I know, right? His favorite was the Cycolps. At least, that is what he told me.

No--you didn't tell me that. Wow--regardless, he did an awesome job on that Spider-Woman IMO.

The guy I traded with had a couple other Saygers I was hoping to get, but they were already gone by the time we made a deal.
