I didn't know that Sayger did sketch cards. I have a couple of his full-sized pieces, but no cards. I'll have to keep an eye out.

He only did Marvel Premier, and according to him he didn't enjoy it very much and will not be doing anymore. Still has all of his APs. Says he is too busy to work on them. I wanted to commission a comic book cover, but didn't really want to pay his asking price. Not sure if I regret that decision or not... Anyway... I'll have more chances

First up are two PSCs by Floyd. I like his work, but dude needs to buy some pre-cut sketch cards

Next up are some of the Rock For Kid auction items I won. Unfortunately, my Lady Gaga did not arrive (don't judge, I've got a weakness for the pop hook)--I got a Katy Perry instead. Hopefully we can get this cleared up soon because I'm not loving the Katy drawing I ended up with.

I think the artists did a really nice job on the ones I got (and wanted to get)--I feel like I got a great deal on these.

They are all 8x10s

Ted Dastick

Wu Wei

Sara Richard

If you aren't following Sara on Facebook, you might not know that she sings Pat Benatar covers, which makes that last one kind of extra cool

Very nice additions Andrew! I especially like the Wu Wei sketch of Jimi Hendrix.

Thanks Mark. It's really hard for me to choose among the four, but that Hendrix is really nice. Wu does some very nice work with pencils.

Awesome, you grabbed my Scott Ian piece. I almost threw a bid down, I was sad when I had to mail it off.

Loved Sara's contributions, especially the Pat Benatar.

I meant to bid on that one, but I never went back to do it. Good pickup.

I have a strong admiration for Scarlett Johansson and my collection has been missing something from the Glebes since my sell-off.

I love it when a plan comes together:

Nice. I was admiring that one. Wish I could've afforded it, but I've got too many commissions out.

Yeah, know what you mean--had to push the budget a bit to pick that one up

Maybe that one will be your favorite pickup of August.

I got my missing Lady Gaga 8x10 drawing in. Not real happy with how this whole transaction went down--if a seller screws up, offer to pay return postage if the buyer got something they didn't bid on and sends it back. And don't send the missing piece without any protection at all (not even a blank piece of paper) besides the envelope.

Anyway, here's Lady Gaga by Kimberly Dunaway:

Now on to a better buying experience. Lak Lim had a great Facebook-only sale last week. I wish I had some extra cash available to pick up some more items, but I got these two for a really amazing price. I recommend you check out his next sale, if there is one.

Hulk sketch cover variant

Iron Man 2 AP

And I picked up this awesome Ghost Rider PSC by our own justice41:

BTW, Lak and Roy do an amazing job protecting their work in shipment. Bravo!

I have another sketch card in that I'm not allowed to show you yet. Once I get the clearance (Clarence), I'll post it--it's pretty fantastic

Nice pickups Andrew! Lak had an awesome sale. I really like the Hulk sketch cover. I was lucky enough to nab a few gems myself from Lak.

Thanks guys!

I love this scene, but I couldn't find many that had been done when I did a little research.

Gary did an excellent job on it and I really recommend working with him if you like his stuff.

EDIT: Had to change the wording because I forgot there were a couple I finally found on SketchCollectors

I like Tony Perna's style, but not enough to pay what his packed out stuff goes for. So I was happy to be able to get this Ares PSC for a very fair price:

I gave a sneak preview of these during the great $20 PSC debate last week, but they arrived today so here are the proper scans

All by Achilleas Kokkinakis

very nice Perna sketch, and the Kokkinakas Ghost Rider is very cool as well!

Perna is pretty outstanding. The most talented guy in the hobby right now, in my opinion.

Ghost Rider is sweet. Loving the flames on that one. Really went all out for your favorite character... kinda makes the others look bad in comparison!

Thanks--I just picked up a nice one from you last night, as well

I agree the Ghost Rider is by far the best of the bunch, but I was happy with all of them. I had seen him do a great job with GR before, but he went above and beyond with that one.

Yeah, Trev has been putting up some really nice PSCs recently, but I think Michonne was his best.

Yeah... others are good, but that Ghost Rider is just crazy good in comparison. Actually, the Red Skull might stand out from the pack, if not for the Ghost Rider.

Forgot to mention I picked up a Catwoman PSC from one of your favorite artists (Victra). She has got some sweet covers available right now too. Would have loved to pick one up, but I'm trying to save for Philly NSCS and NY Comic Con
