Thanks and I did get the Thor on eBay, but it was from a Canadian seller--maybe you have them filtered out or something.

I got the AP direct from Sara and picked up 2 more tonight from her. She's super nice, as I think you mentioned before

She surely won't have any left for me after the holidays Glad to hear they are finding a good home though!

Actually I'm thrilled they are selling. She is such a sweetheart, I'm always glad to hear she is making sales. Her AP prices are pretty good too... considering what her pack inserted cards sell for.

I picked up that MP Captain America today, my third from MP. Can't wait to get it!

Nice pickup! I had my eye on the Captain America, but I have too many pending auctions already right now. Once this batch wraps up, I'm done for awhile after all this bank nonsense I've been dealing with the last few days.

Another great Sara Richard deal as far as I'm concerned. I had my eye on it for a while, and I was quite surprised when it didn't sell at a much higher price.

I've only picked up 6 from MP so far - 3 Sara Richard and 3 Spider-Woman. I'd like the 7th to be a Sara Richard Spider-Woman Hasn't hit yet. Don't even know if it exists actually! Maybe it will come as an AP

Oh and I also picked up a Popplewell Spider-Woman 2 hinge sketch, not the best (costume not quite right) but a great price. It will be my first and probably only hinged card when it arrives. Maybe I'll buy more if I like it, but honestly, the idea doesn't appeal to me.

These last 4 are 11"x14" monsters I commissioned for Lee Kohse's holiday marathon.







This last one is very special. Monkey McGee is a character my roommate in college and I came up with during our more imaginative days. We told stories about him, but never actually created a likeness of him. I was hesitant to ask Lee if he'd try it, but he seemed to be totally cool with it. Based on the limited description I gave, he matched up very closely with the picture in my mind. I'll treasure this one forever

Yeah, I've got some really amazing APs incoming from Elvin (just waiting on approval from Upper Deck) and Joe St.Pierre (he sent B&Ws, doing coloring now, and then UD will have to approve). Unfortunately, I can't post the work they've done until UD signs off.

I've got some other commissions and APs coming as well, but I haven't seen anything for those yet.

Picked up another Victra tonight. I'm worried she's going to think I'm a stalker or something.

As for the artists loving doing that kind of stuff, I've actually seen some that explicitly say they will not create a character. Lee didn't say that, but given the number of commissions he was trying to do in a weekend I thought it might take too much time. He was very cool about it and made that solely from this description I gave:

For the fourth one, I was wondering if it could be a custom subject? My username everywhere is monkeymcgee. Monkey McGee is actually a character my friend and I came up with in college. He's a chimpanzee who wears a top hat and monocle like Mr. Peanut and has a bit of an aristocratic attitude. He would be *perfect* for a bust portrait, but I totally understand if this needs to be a standard subject.

If you can't do Monkey McGee, then I would go with Ghost Rider.

Yeah in that situation you describe I wouldn't be surprised if Lee was only interested in busting out characters that he could do quickly with little though. A lot of the artists I have gotten commission information from include costs for custom character creation. I know my two favorite locals (Mina & JCW) love to do that sort of stuff. But I haven't worked with an extraordinary number of artists and I can only speak to my experience.

I'm pretty sure I once promised Mina that I wasn't stalking her Anyway, where are you getting these Victra pieces? Post or PM me a link

Ah, nice! I see you grabbed that Michael Sta Maria Phoenix. I'd been watching that but ended up getting another one I had my eye on. Glad to see it found a good home and will definitely be appreciated!

edit... forgot... also love the Toma. Keeps getting better with each release. Don't know why, but I really like the style of his work. Certain pieces end up looking amazing to me.

Thanks--I was very happy with the BA I was able to pick up. And Toma is one to watch I think--I really like his recent stuff.
