I'm new to sketch collecting and been buying incentive cards of the Glebe Bros and was wondering does removing them from the original case with sticker hurt the value? I usually like to display my card in nicer cases but didn't want to ruin the value of them. Any help is appreciated.

This is a long running debate in the sketch card community. You can find a bunch of threads on Scoundrel. My perception, from three years of following the discussion:
If you will ever want to sell the card, don't take off the seal. If you will ever want to trade the card, don't take off the seal. If you just want to enjoy the card in your collection, do what you want. I would say about 80 - 90% of the collectors who have an opinion like to leave the seals intact, even if they cover some of the art.

Personally, the first thing that I would normally do is take the card out of the holder so that it could be scanned in it's entirety unless there was an available image that I could swipe in order to sell it. The reasoning? It is an original one of a kind piece of work. You can not find one in "better shape" as it is the only one that exists. If there were multiple copies of the card, by all means keep it sealed but for anyone to pass up on a sketch because the seal is busted is just plain assinine, IMHO.

Or why can't it be transparent at least.

I agree. I have bought a few glebes and I took them out. They look so much better. What? People will think they are fake without that big gold sticker that covers 10 % of the card.
