I don't think you care how much they go for. I think incentives are a terrible idea, but If you're gonna do em, try to impress us maybe?

Who buys 6 cases for a Peter Dinklage autograph? Nobody. Dealers get the bonus, and they decide what they think the card is worth. Now we will get a Dinklage auto in packs is all I'm saying.

I figured as much. I guess I meant, do any casual collectors buy 3 or 6 cases to get the incentive.

Casual collectors don't need to buy cases to get the incentives. They can just buy them.

my point is the whole thing is nonsense. it's an incentive, but who buys cases for the incentive? exactly, most of us buy em afterwards.

is it that impressive? i guess it's better than using main hits as incentives.

I'm glad they're sticking with the 2 autos per box, and it's great to see Peter Dinklage is available in packs this time. I like that there are relics and sketch cards this time too. I don't like the shape of the relic cards. The sketches look amazing.

I honestly don't know what the complaint here is. The program obviously makes sense to case buyers, and based on this statement it seems to make sense for casual collectors as well since the buy them afterwards. What exactly makes the program nonsense?

not everyone can afford to buy the case incentives. the incentive program is there to help move product, in quantity.

it doesn't really benefit the casual buyer, when say for instance, the big signers are made to be incentive like season one. those incentives can sell for quite a bit, and might be too much for certain buyers who just pick up a couple boxes here and there.

I think they are taking a step in the right direction this year. I guess my complaint is just that the incentives this time around seem rather underwheling, but to each their own.

Rittenhouse also includes a small number of incentive cards in packs.

I've heard that character sketch cards are basically a no-no for live-action properties because the actors would have veto power over the sketches, making it not worth the hassle.

Yeah, that's too bad. I'm sure some of them wouldn't mind, might even be flattered by the idea.

I have 6 coming. Really wanted these incentive adds since its the author and producer. But may sell off some of the cases now after seeing that the relic cards are either Banners or generic Watchmen Cloaks.

Ugh, really? Where'd you see that news. I've been trying to find out more about the relics and sketches but haven't seen any updates. That's extremely disappointing that there are no costumes.

theres a checklist posed on their site, basically all the costumes are just from the banners, but they're sketch cards included in this release.

Agreed.

No costume cards, No character sketch cards.

Why the hell wouldn't they have mentioned this sooner, like before people were able to pre order this product?

Now I've got 3 cases coming to me, and I doubt they offer refunds.

Seriously though, wtf is wrong with this company?

Really. You'd think they would've known whether or not they would've been able to acquire costumes or not before they decided to include relic cards. And to top it all off the "relic blanks" FEATURE specific characters on each one! In the Relic Card feature they show cards with pictures of Joffrey, Catelyn, and Tyrion. That leads us to believe that the "relic" featured would be something specific to that character, not just a generic House Banner. Last week I was tempted to bump my order up to 2 cases, but I'm very glad I didn't.

Default We can hope...

If the relics can have a good dose of variants, that might make them more interesting.
I still think the autos will do well and sketches will add some value. Not sure how it will all shake out but I have 2 cases paid for and expect to do okay overall. Maybe no blockbuster hits but there's a lot to sort through. I also like the images for the Gallery insert set which is gonna be relatively tough at 1:48.
Best to All,
VinnyH

The relic cards are *shaped* like banners, so I'm guessing that they planned this all along.

Default IMHO...

I agree the banner relics hurt. I think sketches are a wild card still depending on insert rates and quality artists. I'm keeping a big chunk of my 2 cases but here's how I see a 1 case breakdown:

1 case should get you your money back @ $790.
24 - Auto cards
avg. $20 each = $480
1 - Blackwater case topper
letís say $10
12 - Sigil cards
lets say $3 each = $36
24 - Storyboard Art cards
lets say $2 each = $48
24 - Quotable cards
lets say $2 each = $48
6 - Gallery cards
lets say $8 each = $48
6 - Relic cards
lets say $10 each = $60
96 Parallel cards
letís say 25 cents each = $24
12 Base Sets
letís say $3 a set = $36
? Sketch card(s) = ??

Best to All,
VinnyH

Yeah, the banners aren't a killing blow, just disappointing. There are still lots of autographs I'd like from the set that weren't in the first set.

Final complaint though- Let's accept that the relics will just be banners. This is a Season 2 set and no Greyjoy? They can't even include the one banner I would actually collect? Tommen, Lancel, and Rickon could've been cut to include the Greyjoys. At least that'll make em easier for me to sell off. I'll probably keep 1 Night's Watch cloak for myself.

I just wanted to point out that case incentives wouldn't be necessary if they didn't produce so many damn cases!!

For those who will be collecting the set including the promos, I have some of the Chicago exclusive P4 promos on Ebay. As always, offers are welcome via pm.
