I truly dont know if Ive ever heard a Justin Bieber song, but his popularity is pretty evident.
From a flipping standpoint, I came across some boxes at Target (exclusive) ($29.99) and for the price, it seems like a good buy for flipping. As a fan of a musician, I would think I would jump on these if I came across a similar product of someone whom I liked. The box has a 50 card set and a guaranteed Memorabilia or Autograph in every box. Doesnt seem like they are moving on Ebay right now. What is your opinion...are these going to be good eventually? Bust em and see if there is an auto...which I think would easily sell? Thoughts

$30 isn't much for a gamble..if it was more though I'd say definite no. I can really only see resell value if you we're to pull an auto or MAYBE a good memorabilia.
I don't think the boxes will go up in value either so I don't think they'd be worth holding onto as a sealed sell later. I just can't see the sets going for much at all because of his audience and it being so narrow. Main people that like him are young girls, which I don't see being interested in trading cards. And if it was selling an auto by him, it would have to be the parent shelling out money to purchase it for their kid. I know if I had a young kid I wouldn't shell out much for an auto card, especially if it was a teen pop singer. I'd go with just let it pass and maybe pick up something different. But then again it is only $30, so not much to make up for a profit.. |

Not sure how you would flip this, if anyone wants one, they can buy it at Target for $29.99, why would they pay more than that? If you are talking about ripping and flipping, how much do you think they are worth? $10 for the set and $20 for the memorabilia? Or $15 for each? Which would mean only breaking even (and down a little after ebay and paypal fees).
Yes, if you hit an autograph you will make a profit. But does the box list the odds of an autograph? I would guess no better than 1 in 100 boxes, you can be sure that the vast majority will be memorabilia cards. |
