Yeah, that sucks and I'm really hoping I don't pull one. He originally signed on for just 50 sketches then signed on for another 500! I guess he was pressed for time to finish that many and did a lot of repeat-a-sketches.

From some of the ones Ive seen that thought WTF?, I wonder just how bad or what the reason was for some artists to have complete sketch runs denied.

It was apparently NBC that decided which artists were in and which were not, and it was the knocking back of so many sketch cards by NBC that caused problems for Topps.

I understand Topps couldn't hire any new artists because NBC had basically put a halt on any additional approvals.

This meant Topps was short of sketch cards for a highly anticipated product that had already been delayed++.

All they could do was go back to the approved artists, and basically beg them to do more cards.

This is why artists like Grant Gould, who initially were going to be rare pulls (signed on for only fifty) , are now almost commons (agreed to a further 500 to help Topps out of the s*#t).

It's certainly possible that some of the artists second batch cards will be of a lesser quality, given the short time frame provided to them by Topps for completion.

If anyone thinks they understand NBC's thinking and can explain the logic behind their inclusion/refusal process please share this with the rest of us!!

Actuallyartists were added after the rejections. The original artists list (which is still the one shown on the TOPPS site since they haven't updated it in months) has 34 artists, 4 of which had their entire runs rejected which left 30 artists. The carrent list stands at 43 who have definitely been approved and 4 others that may or may not have (someone said they pulled a shasteen sketch yesterday so he may get moved to the approved section if I can confirm). Here is the current list now:

Help with Sketches
I hope these scans come out alright, never tried to show a picture. Can someone confirm for me if the top sketch is from Leah Mangue and the bottom sketch is from Ingrid Hardy? Also, what is the character/actor in the top sketch?
Thanks for any help.
Alan

Can some Heroes experts help me ID these characters? I think I figured out the artists (except for 1). Here are the scans.

Cat Skaggs

Cynthia Cummens

Edward Pun

Thanks in advance

YYC, you need to use the IMG tags, not HTML tags.

Of course you need to remove the spaces I left above.
