Default aggie4ever's sketch card pickups

I like seeing everyone else's threads where they show off the sketch cards they have picked up, so I thought I would share mine. I don't buy a whole lot of sketches, I much prefer to bust packs and pull them. But I do keep an eye out for ones that I like on ebay, here's what I have picked up over the past couple of months.

Marvel Premier

Wasp by Puis Calzada
Wasp by Randy Martinez

Red Sonja

Red Sonja by Andy Price (hard to see in the pics, but there are glittery highlights in the hair and armor)
Red Sonja by Chris Foulkes (AP)

Vampirella

Vampirella 2-card puzzle by Bianca Thompson
Vampirella 2-card puzzle by Jason Potratz / Jack Hai

Vampirella 2-card puzzle by Jerome Dabos

Vampirella by Jerry Fleming (AP)
Vampirella by Chris Foulkes (AP)

Hope you like, thanks!

Here's a few more pickups from the past couple of months to catch me up, then some that came in today.

Mary Bellamy Kitty Ditties sketch
Jez Rojales Warlord of Mars sketch of Dejah Thoris

If you've seen some of my breaks, you know I like the Breygent z-sketch cards. These are 8x10 pieces of paper that fold up to regular sketch card size. I was able to pick up some AP's from Chris Foulkes:

Red Sonja by Chris Foulkes (AP)

Dejah Thoris by Chris Foulkes (AP)

Sexy Witch by Chris Foulkes (AP)

Now here's sketches I've picked up this week. First up is a Katie Cook... if you want a cheap Cook sketch for your collection, you can pick up an Indiana Jones sketch for $20.

Irina Spalko from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull by Katie Cook

Finally, here are some Star Wars ROTBH sketches I picked up for my set:

Plo Koon by Jeff Confer
Anakin Skywalker by Brent Engstrom
Ahsoka Tano by Amy Pronovost

Those Z-cards look great. I was so afraid to tear the paper on those I didn't do colors on any but one. I only painted the cards.

Yeah, the paper does seem kinda thin, so I can see why you did colors only on the cards and not the paper. The markers definitely did bleed through to the back of the paper on the ones that did color on the paper.

Sorry, the Plo Koon is for my set, so it isn't for trade/sale.

I almost didn't get the Plo Koon at all today, since it was sent in a PWE, and someone between Wisconsin and Texas tampered with the envelope. The end of the envelope was sliced open, and I can tell that the card was removed since the team bag the toploader was in was also cut at the end since it was wider than the toploader and wouldn't come out of the envelope. Luckily it looks like the thief didn't want the sketch card or didn't know it was worth anything, since he put it back in the envelope, and luckily it didn't fall out during the rest of the trip. Pretty crazy, huh? Here's a pic of the envelope, as you can see they cut exactly enough to get the toploaders out of the envelope...

Here's what I've picked up in the past 2 weeks. First are some cards I picked up from Monkey McGee (thanks for the great deal!):

Black Widow Marvel Premier sketch by Elvin Hernandez (AP)
Lady Death sketches by Mike Vasquez and Mary Bellamy

Then some sketches I picked up for my Captain America set:

Red Skull by Hector Sevilla
Wasp by Frank Kadar
Captain America by John Haun

Captain America by Cal Slayton
Tony Stark (or Jonah Jameson?) by Wendi Chew
Baron Zemo by Remi Dousset

My next update will be an exciting one for me, I picked up a couple of sketches by Amber Shelton that she listed on ebay, I have 3 great Star Wars ROTBH sketches on the way for my set, and I have my first commissions on the way (from Mark Bloodworth). I'm excited to see what he came up with from my suggestions!

The past two days I've had some great maildays. First up are three cards I got in trade for some Blood and Glory sketches:

Bianca Thompson Wonderland AE
She-Hulk Marvel Bronze Age sketch by Matias Streb
Black Widow Marvel Bronze Age sketch by Studio Mia

Next up are some sketches by Amber Shelton that she had listed on ebay:

Tank Girl
2x Zombies vs Cheerleaders

It was also cool of Amber to draw on the mailer:

I also got in 4 cards for my Star Wars ROTBH set:

Cad Bane by Martheus Wade (a single to replace a puzzle piece in my set)
Cad Bane by Sarah Wilkinson (return)

Cad Bane by Denise Vasquez (return)
Embo by Grant Gould

Finally, I got in my first commissions, by Mark Bloodworth. Mark had posted a couple of auctions on ebay, and I bid on both, but I didn't really expect to win them. I did, then had to think for a couple of days to come up with ideas, since he wouldn't do copyrighted characters on the 5finity Creator's Line sketch blanks.

For the first one, I thought back to playing Magic the Gathering in college 20 years ago (wow, has it really been 20 years? man, I'm getting old!). One of the most iconic cards, and one of my favorites, was the Serra Angel. Over the years, there have been many versions of art on this card, but the original is still the best, so I based my choice on it. I just wanted her to be updated with a sexier outfit and with a flaming sword:

For the second card, I asked Mark to turn one of my favorite Benchwarmer models into a sexy nude vampire:

I'm very happy with my first commissions, Mark did a great job taking my ideas and turning them into sketch cards. Let me know what you think!

monkeymcgee: Thanks Andrew! The Bloodworth cards did come out great, I was very happy with my first commissions.

goggletan215: Thanks, it's been fun picking up these cards.

garrow21: I got the Bianca Thompson AE in a trade, but the seller had it up on ebay for at least a couple of weeks. I also think I remember seeing them listed by Bianca Thompson at auction originally several months ago.

cujobyte: Thanks Nick!

And here's my pickups the past week. First some sketches I got in 2 different group breaks here on BO:

Batman sketches: Bat Mite by Tim Levandoski (rare sketch), Manhunter by BOO
Space sketch: Otvazhnaya dog sketch by Kristina Sepulveda

Next are 2 sketches for my Captain America sketch set. Thanks Thuy for trading me the Katie Cook, that fills a big hole in my set (although I was sad to see my Katie Cook Cryptids sketch leave, at least it goes to a good home!).

WWII soldiers by Matt Grigsby, Captain America by Katie Cook

Oooooh so jealous of that Sepulveda sketch! I have 4 but I want to add one more to have 5 of her 25 sketches for the set.

Awesome Captain America sketches as well!

Very nice:-) but I think I see a pattern/preference in your pc pick ups. A very nice pattern.

Yes, I like women with a killer personality.

No blondes though (unless you consider Lady Death a blonde), I have bid on a few Cherry sketches but haven't won any. Apparently I like strong, sexy women more than silly, sexy women.

To change things up a bit, I will add this one to my thread. Didn't actually pick it up, I pulled it from an incentive pack. But it's such a great card, I wanted to show it off again:
