I saw that Once Bitten base card art posted to Asylum Studios' Facebook page last night, very nice!

I'm back! The board just magically started working yesterday!

So... when I lost the ability to load Blowout, I was in the process of posting my Carnival sketches. Literally, the upload errored and no more forum for me. So now it's been quite a while and I'm not sure if there's any call to post them all. Thoughts? Think we've seen most of them pulled.

In the meantime, here are a couple commissioned APs I finished in the last few weeks:

Hope to get all my commissions done this month... but I keep getting more LOL Horrible, right?

I forgot to post my DC: Women of Legend preview yesterday! Can't wait for this set to drop, even if no one is planning on buying it -_-

Very nice work! I'm envious of how well your cards scan. My scanner kills all my colors. I'm excited for the WOL set for an obvious reason.

Nah, I have to play with the levels I used to have the best most magical scanner ever... but the poor '90s dinosaur finally gave up the ghost a couple years ago. If I forget to adjust levels, they're really washed out. I've only recently bothered taking the time, though it does definitely help the aesthetic.

Hi Amber!

I ordered two boxes of Women of Legend. I'll probably kick myself later (I have horrible luck with boxes).

Might I ask what type of blanks and the mediums you use. Being an illustrator, I never actually got into the sketch cards, and would like to take a shot at it. I'd love some insight from one artist to another. Send me a PM if you can!

Aw thanks! I guess we do... she's more cute to me.

One more art update and then I'll lay off for a bit.
This is the one (of five) hundred dollar Women of Legends Return I will have available for sale once I get it back from Cryptozoic. The others are all spoken for already.

Okay, I get it now... and instead of just calling you some form of "jerk" or pretending that I managed to ignore you I'll offer you something constructive. That is one of my favorite cards because I pushed myself. I worked very hard on the perspective and experimenting with color and I think it paid off. So I was happy and then your joke finally clicked last night I was angry and embarrassed. Worse, I doubted myself and my pride in my work. I'm still annoyed and embarrassed, but after a night of going over and over it in my head, I still like the card.

I appreciate, very much, when people take the time to comment... but I might just appreciate the time they spend on thought more. I hope your time spent on coming up with something witty to say paid off for you, because for me, not so much.

All 50 of my DC: Women of Legend cards can now be found here -

Artist Returns will be added in the next few days. The Supergirl posted previously is the only one still available.

So, this happened. Now I have Supergirl and this BoP card available as APs... and three blanks. As far as we (other artists I know & I) can tell, only the nine artists who got Gail's Picks have blanks in addition to the returns.

Congrats on doing the art for the Gail's Picks header card! When I pulled one last night, I was pretty sure you had drawn it, and it's cool that the backs of those insert cards do list the artist (don't think the base cards indicate who drew them). I saw that while I was breaking my case, and was going to post a pic of it earlier today. But I got busy watching college football and haven't had a chance to post my case break yet.

Thanks, aggie!

As it turns out... we got blank APs as payment for our Gail's Pick cards (as well as getting that card as an extra AP). I'm pretty sure ONLY the GP artists have blanks, as our standard payment for this set was in Returns (completed cards we got back). You can see the commission terms for my 3 blank cards in the B/S/T section - FS: DC Women of Legend artist APs, Returns, blanks for commission! ... but here's a compiled image of some of my previous DC AP commissions and the approval stages I provided the commissioners.

Trying Rittenhouse one more time... exercise in frustration!

Jean won't scan right so... have a few more I'm trying to squeeze into my deadlines.

Just curious, why is Rittenhouse frustrating? Is it the card stock/surface?

Frustrating because one of the top questions I get asked is "When are you drawing Marvel?"
Promised some people one more attempt.
