Default Press Pass gets Parks and Recreation?

Someone posted on another site that Press Pass announced at Industry Summitt that they are releasing a Parks and Recreation set. They already have Amy Poehler, Rob Lowe, Rashida Jones and Aziz Asnari as signers.

Not a big fan of the show, but I like Poehler and Rashida Jones. Seems like a good start from them if they are venturing in the non sport side.

If they can get Offerman and Plaza, it could be a pretty decent release. I think those two would sell very well.

If they get those two it'd be great to go with Poehler and Lowe. Also would love Adam Scott. Loved him in Party Down.

....and can we get an Office card set? Please!?!?!?!

Interesting. With 2 autographs per box I wonder how big the final checklist is?
I've always liked Press Pass and it's nice to see them branching out into more mainstream non-sports sets as their other sets like the Elvis sets seemed quite well done.
I see they made a point of mentioning the autos will be on card, although I can't recall PP ever using stickers, and that there will be different colored ink variations of the autographs as well, which I also like (heck, I have 2 of the 24 red ink signatures of Mary Tyler Moore from the Essential Elvis set.

Such a great time to be a non-sports collector right now.

Pre sale available here on blowout and I gotta say I am thrilled with the confirmed signers.

They got almost all the main cast, and some great guest stars. Here is the list:

- Amy Poehler (Leslie Knope)
- Rob Lowe (Chris Traeger)
- Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson)
- Aziz Ansari (Tom Haverford)
- Aubrey Plaza (April Ludgate)
- Jim O'Heir (Jerry Gergich)
- Retta (Donna Meagle)
- Mo Collins (Joan Callamezzo)
- Jay Jackson (Perd Hapley)
- Megan Mullally (Tammy Swanson)
- Paul Rudd (Bobby Newport)
- Fred Armisen (Raul)
- Parker Posey (Lindsay Carlisle Shay)

The only three names missing from this list are Adam Scott, Chris Pratt, and Rashida Jones and you have pretty much everyone on the show....but this is the confirmed list SO FAR, so there is always a chance they are doing things like Crypto and waiting till the cards are in hand before releasing the info.

24 autographs (with tiered numbering inserted) and 12 relics per case - not bad. Would have thought it to be the other way around, but not bad at all.

That is odd considering they announce her as a signer originally.

As I mentioned in my post, that is the list of current signers. We are still a little ways out from release and they could easily add more names to that list, and hopefully they do. If they just add Rashida i'll be more than pleased.

and disappointed by lack of autograph costumes? it was never even hinted at or mentioned lol, so how could you be disappointed, autograph relics aren't standard practice by any means.

Parks and Rec doesn't have the following BBT does.

Well Press Pass isn't Cryptozoic but I will give props to them for jumping to TV shows.

I'm surprised the boxes and cases of this are priced as high as they are (to BBT levels). Granted, the show does not getting the viewership as BBT does, but I do like that more card companies are producing trading card sets of popular TV shows.

It seems that these autographs will be quite obtainable. It would be interesting if they do what Cryptozoic has done and have rare supersized costume or maybe even autograph booklets.

I wonder if Paul Schneider (City Planner Mark Brandanawicz in the first two seasons) would autograph for this set?

The fact that they actually got the better part of the cast to sign, plus stars like Paul Rudd, Parker Posey, etc. makes this far more collectible to me than BBT. Yes, it's a popular show, but Parks blows it away in terms of star power. I'm excited or this.

My prediction is that this set will be huge. I mainly collect sketches, so a set like this normally wouldn't interest me. However, I plan on buying a case (at the very least) simply because I love the show so much.
