Well... I wish it was a vampire set and not just a T&A set with fangs. Blood & Glory turned out to be AWESOME and I think following that up with a generic T&A set is a mistake. However, the artist list is jam packed with talent and I do like the idea of buying 5 packs and not getting strapped with 4 worthless extra base sets...

Its a definite maybe.

Question: How many different foil chase cards are there?

Thanks for your input. We always strive to take what the fan/collectors want into account. Hence the switch from sets to packs. Believe me when I tell you this is not just a T/A set. It definitely leans more towards the Vampire aspect. Just focusing on beautiful vampires. There is a lot of gothic style blood and horror also. Will there be T/A? Yes. The focus is definitely not that though, but more the gothic vampiric seductress. I look at this as more of a classy pin up set than just your average T/A set.

There will be three different foil chase cards.

Three foil cards sounds good. Any ideas on pack limits yet? Looking forward to seeing some sketch previews to prove me wrong about this being a T&A set. I know I can count of Potter to make me look like a psychic, and Shelton to do something classy and make me regret not buying packs

Truth be told, I played with the idea of buying 10 packs of Blood & Glory over and over again. I found myself at the website on several different occasions. The only reason I didn't is because I wanted to have the most money available to buy the maximum amount of a different release, which I ended up getting only 3 packs of. Now I do my best not to get to excited about these things. I'm pissed off enough as it is.

Don't do any facebook exclusives. I don't use facebook and I'm not going to start just to get a card. It might turn me off to buying at all though.

Oh I totally understand your frustration. When we announce presales we will anounce if there is a pack limit. We don't believe in just selling off Facebook OR just making a chase card only Facebook. We sort of did that with the Blood and Glory Asylum Group exclusive card but with this set chase cards are open to whoever purchases product. As for the T/A, I know I for one (Jim Kyle) am going the more classy old school horror pin up route. I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised. Like I said it will be sexy, you can't help that with a pin up set. It's how sexy is done that makes a difference. Creativity means everything when it comes to setting this apart from your average T/A set.

Spider has been a little grumpy lately, but I enjoy his points. It's good to have a contrarian point of view around.

Now you know this is right up Rink's and Cousin Eddie's alley;

Put me down for 10 Clark, and Cousin Eddie looks forward to seeing more of these in his thread.

Cujo is just upset because 596 of those posts are about him

Seriously though... I may complain a lot (yeah, I know I do... Imagine you had to sit next to me at the office?) but my posts in both this thread and that other one were intended to be constructive feedback and I think there are plenty of positive things in there. In case you missed them:
  • The preceding set (Blood & Glory) was awesome.
  • I think the artist line-up is top notch. Probably the best for any premium sketch set that has been announced this year, so far.
  • I think the pack structure is perfect. 5 packs gets you a full base set and 5 sketches. 3 foil chase cards inserted 1:10 gives us set-builders something to go after besides the high end sketches.
  • 500 is a perfect size pack run. Enough to make a big splash but not to much to overwhelm the top artists and have to pull in some set fillers.
My only complaint is that Jim followed up the outstanding idea of Blood & Glory with a pin-up set. So far this year, we have already seen Car Wash Craziness, Bettie Page Collection, Bombshells, Nevermore Alice, and Female Persuasion 3. There are enough pin-ups out there. Jim says he is going to make me eat my words. I challenge him to do so. I HOPE HE DOES! Nothing would make me happier than to be wrong.

And I will add one more positive to my list. Base cards look great so far Very tempting. Some more constructive feedback - give more than 1 days notice on the pre-sale

To be fair, there are some artists that turn every set they're on into pin-up sets because that's just what they draw... and some (like me) who can't pull off sex bombs on purpose if...well, if the set required it
